Good for use on stage - great if you change the mic - some issues to workaround
I used 4 of these wireless microphones as part of a recent amateur dramatics stage production. We had 16 wireless mics in total, of various types, all working well together without interference. The good:* They just work* Each receiver and transmitter are coded, so only connect to each other, even if you change the frequency of the transmitter* Batteries in the transmitters last a decent time, at least 6 hours, and have a battery indicator* The lavalier microphone sounds ok, but the sound is a lot better if you replace it* Range was never a problem for us* For the price they are amazingThe bad:* The receivers don't have a battery indicator and use up their AAA batteries quite quickly. We learnt to start each performance with a fully charged pair of AAA batteries* The lapel mics sound ok, but not great - I would have used them, but was happy I replaced them for something better* The lapel mics need to be accurately positioned to pick up the speaker - that is high and pointing directly at the speakers mouth. We had problems where the cast clipped them to their lapels which left them pointing to their shoulders and picking up almost nothing. They need to be top of the shirt pointing straight up* The power and frequency change buttons look identical. It is very easy to change the frequency when you mean to turn the transmitter off.* One member of our cast managed to keep turning off the mic by accident during costume changes. I would have liked to have had the Sennheiser design where the buttons are under the battery flap, so they can't be operated by accident.* The mini XLR connector for the microphone makes it hard to replace - almost everything else uses a 3.5 mm jack* The aerial came off one of our receivers. It didn't matter to our performance as our mixer was beside the stage and still picked up the performer.I replaced all the microphones that plug into the transmitters with the Discreet Neckband Headset Microphones by Chord. They come in a box labelled FNM-35. They don't have the same connector, so I cut off the existing connectors and soldered on replacement mini XLR connectors. After we had done that these sounded awesome. I couldn't tell who was wearing these and who was wearing the really expensive wireless mics we hired.

Good quality but could be improved
This is a pretty decent mic, considering the cost it is in fact rather good, best position seems to be on a shirt pocket, or roughly thereabouts, any closer to your mouth and things start getting distorted.Easy to set up, handy having 20 channels as you can switch channel if you are getting any interference, sound quality is good but not great, there is an audible background hiss which I can't seem to get rid of but again this is not a top quality mic, it is what it is.Having said that, if you are giving a presentation or demonstration to a group it is ideal, if you are doing a presentation on video you will need to do some post processing on the sound. All in all I am still very pleased with it and it will get a lot of use, I can't comment on battery life yet as I haven't been using it for long.Would I buy it again? Yes, despite the 4 stars I would as it is very useful and very good value.Recommended.

Great rage, very good vocal quality - excellent results.
The media could not be loaded. This is an excellent value lapel mic - perfect for hands-free operation.I purchased this to record some audio into a voice recognition package, but I didn't want to be tied to the desk. The transmitter and receiver both take batteries (normal AA/AAA) types and the battery life seems very good so far.The microphone itself is very light as you would expect and the transmitter comes with a belt clip enabling you to wander without dropping it or disturbing the wiring. The reception was excellent without any signs of dropping, interference or breakup and the audio quality reproduced is excellent. The standard frequency when I power it on is fine for me, but you can alter this with a few short presses of the button on the transmitter. All in all, a really excellent lapel mic that will have a few good uses, especially when presenting in front of a group.

Needs to be worn higher than lapel level
You need a good quality speaker......am using a Logitec PC speaker with woofer which gives an excellent, controllable, sound volume and quality but wearing the mic on my lapel or any where below the mouth level wasn't good enough, couldn't hear my voice, but wearing it clipped to the arm of my specs absolutely done the trick. I guess you get what you pay for!

Good for a cheap buy, but you're better off investing in a better product.
I bought this in a rush for a project I was working on, and immediately regretted that decision after I was done with that video. While the sound quality is good, it works well, and has a good range on it, the versatility and adaptability of this product leave much to be desired. The main issue is the custom mic jack. You cannot use the mic in any other piece of equipment, and you cannot use any other piece of equipment with the transmitter. It's also quite bulky and has a long antenna, while better products on the market don't feature these things. Simple things like that can make your subject nervous or uncomfortable. It's much better to spend a little extra money on something that will last. I haven't picked up this mic since that initial project.

(I hate holding a mic
I spend a lot of time doing up front presentations, and bought this for an event at the last minute, when I worked out they didn't have the tech in place to let me do my thing in the way I wanted. (I hate holding a mic, or standing in front of a mic to speak - I like to roam!)To be honest, I thought it would be pretty poor audio quality. I was wrong. It is totally plug and play - connected really quickly - just needed to buy a separate adapter to make the large plug into a small one to go into the amp. Sound quality was excellent, adn the evening went well. Would highly recommend as a great little piece of kit.
