Excellent Product
Good quality. Does not break easily. No gross factory taste. Plays smoothly prior to breaking in.

Good to Bad Reed Ratio was no good
I have been playing for 20 years and recently decided I wanted a new open tip metal mouthpiece. Once I got the new mouthpiece my old brand of reeds were not cutting it so I set out to find new ones I liked. Once I got these reeds the first two I pulled out sounded bad. I looked at them and the heart wasn't shaped right. I went though the rest of the box and only two had the right heart shape. However, after an hour practice session they were shot and not worth playing on anymore. All and all I didn't have a good experience with them. But, you have have a difference experience. Saxophone reeds are so personal to the player. Word of warning. Everyone is different. What works for me might not work for you. Also, don't just get reeds because someone else says, "Theses reeds are the best!" or "Theses reeds are terrible!" My best advice is to try multiple manufactures, multiple types, and multiple strengths before settling on what you like best.

Great reeds for jazz, great price
My son is a junior in high school and is a gifted player - he plays in all kinds of jazz groups and concert ensembles. His teacher recommended these, after trying multiple brands himself, and we have been very happy with these. They produce a big sound with clarity. His favorite reed for concert band is the Rico Grand Concert Select. My son says there tends to be about one reed out of every box that isn't as good as the rest, but considering the cost of these, we can work with that. Playing the bari is a very expensive hobby, if you want to have a good sound!!!

Not for metal mouthpieces.
These were thin and didn’t sound good with my Jody Jazz metal mouthpiece. Probably better for hard rubber.
