The best thing for me about this product is it is one of the few that does not contain L-Arginine... any type of Herpes... illness such as Epstein Barr; Shingles; Cold Sores; etc. and Candida feed off of L-Arginine so when you take a supplement containing it... you are feeding the nasties.Of course sadly many people have Candida and do not realize it is Candida causing all of their problems due to the fact that many M.D.'s out there are totally unaware of Candida and know nothing about it... even though there are a multitude of documentation available on it. I know my M.D. did not know about it... I had to research it on my own and heal myself of it!I was so happy to find this supplement that does not contain it because most of them do... and I have heart issues and very much need my nitric oxide boosted and this supplement does that for me.

I have been taking prescription medications for quite a few years for high blood pressure. However over the last few of years, the Rx pills have not been working that well and I believe have caused some sleep problems. So I reduced the dose of the Rx medication and instead started taking Nitroxyl three times a day with meals. I have been surprised that almost immediately I seemed to be sleeping better and my blood pressure has generally been in an acceptable range for the last few weeks. Of course, I am engaging in officially unapproved self medication, however that is the advantage with blood pressure since one can easily monitor it at home and if something works with no side effects, then I see no reason not to continue the regimen. I have not re-visited my doctor since making the changes and I am curious about her reaction when I do visit her office in a month or two. However she already is well aware that I try various alternative supplements and herbal formulations. At this point, I do hope Nitroxyl remains available for a long time.

I have only taken for 3 weeks,not long enough to evaluate. I have noticed i can think better, better memory recall, etc. Will review again after longer spell of taking this supplement.

No nervous side affect, more energy, more alert...all with a good sense of well being....Great product. It works for me and I am much more productive now without feeling run down.

This is some of the very best in customer service I have ever received, and I am increasing my rating since I don't feel my personal experience, which may be the result of a fairly unusual set of circumstances, should be taken as an indicator of the effectiveness of the product. I fully intend to try this product again at a later date.Original post:I was taking a different product, neo40 professional, for about a month before I decided to try this one. When I started the first product, my test levels with the Berkeley Test Strips (saliva) were depleted. After taking that product for several days, my results moved to the high target range. Just before I ran out of that product, I decided to give this one a try. It arrived in time so I could start this one as soon as I finished the previous product with no down time.Since I had already been taking a nitric oxide supplement very successfully, I started taking this one at full strength from day 1. I've been taking it for about a week now, and my nitric oxide levels as tested by the Berkeley Test Strips today have fallen again into the deficient zone. This leads me to believe that either this product cannot do what the previous product I used did, or something happened to reduce it's potency before I received it.I'm giving this 2 stars at the moment until I hear back from the only seller for this product as to their thoughts on why it's not working for me when another product did.Update 5/7/17: Seller is being very helpful, informative and instructive with ideas and solutions particular to my situation. While I have not felt as well during the first week of taking this product as I did on my previous NO supplement, this could be due to a stacking of an ingredient in this formulation with something else I am taking that contains the same ingredient. I am upping my review to 3 stars at this time.Update 5/17/17 We came to the conclusion that the nootropics in this supplement might be too much for me personally right now, especially since I take some in another supplement, and could be the reason I was not feeling well on this supplement. It was suggested I try the Nitroxyl Performance version which does not contain the nootropics. I continued to take this supplement until the Performance version arrived, and upon starting the new version, I did notice my mind was clearer and I had a bit more energy - definitely a positive change. However, since I began first taking Nitroxyl, I noticed some other changes happening:First I had stopped losing weight. When I started taking the neo40 professional, the weight had begun to fall off. But since using Nitroxyl, I stopped losing weight - I didn't gain weight, but simply sat at roughly the same weight for a couple weeks (with wider fluctuations). Taking the Performance version didn't change anything in this regard. This could be the result of other factors, and by itself, should not automatically be attributed to a change to this supplement. People do reach plateaus, and this could just be a coincidence. However, other metrics also changed in a negative way:My blood sugars had lowered quite nicely while on the neo40 professional. I had become borderline diabetic before starting any NO supplementation. My blood sugars quickly normalized on the neo40 supplement, becoming very stable.. Since starting the Nitroxyl supplements, however, my blood sugars started creeping upwards again and becoming less stable.Additionally, my blood pressure, which had been on the high to high normal side before starting any NO supplementation, had normalized quickly while taking the neo40 product; and not only my blood pressure, but my pulse pressure as well.Pulse pressure is the difference between the systolic and diastolic numbers, and ideally this value should be about 40. A pulse pressure above 60 is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular event. Since I had had a serious such event in the past, this is an important consideration for me. My pulse pressures had reached almost 100 before taking the neo40 product, but quickly reduced to the 40-50 range in just a matter of days after starting NO supplementation.Since starting the Nitroxyl, my blood sugar, and both blood pressure and pulse pressure, have crept up back towards their previous levels. This trend didn't change after I started the Nitroxyl Performance about a week ago.I really wanted to give the Nitroxyl Performance a good solid try, which would mean a 30-60 day period, given how the absence of nootropics seemed to make a real difference in how I felt in general. And I expect these health metrics would eventually return to healthy ranges again with this product. However, I didn't feel I could justify waiting that long since these changed for the better so quickly and so significantly when I started the the neo40 professional product.So yesterday I decided to start the neo40 product again. Today I have noticed positive changes all around - my blood sugar is normalizing again, my blood pressure has stopped it's upward trend and is starting to improve, and I've suddenly begun losing weight again, now weighing in at my lowest point so far.I would like to give this product a try again at some point in the future, I see no reason it wouldn't work. But I think my health needs to be more stable before I do so.
