Solid Performance
Received the DVD on the day it was released, thank you Amazon. The Blu Ray video is a lot cleaner as expected.Excellent band performance. The 57th and 9th songs fit in smoothly with his solo and Police catalog.I was lucky to catch this tour on a couple occasions in the US and had a blast. This live concert captures that energy but it seems there was some post production on the audio where there were a few minor quirks. I do agree that the video is movement is a tad much but otherwise and MAINLY for the MUSIC, I give this 5 stars. The audio is excellent in DTS and Dolby 5.1. The performance superb, Sting’s vocals at his best (I don’t know how he does it while playing the bass and foot Taurus pedals), the Squeeze Box guy, Percy Cardona adds a beautiful touch. Dominic and Rufus Miller fills the sound in the middle and Josh Freese does a wonderful job on drums.Every song was performed excellently and for those who viewed some of this on TV prior, the full concert is worth it for “Pretty Young Soldier” and “Hung My Head” which were not aired.Standouts like Englishman in NY, So Lonely, Shape of My Heart, Message, One Fine Day, almost all the songs, makes this Blu Ray a perfect addition to Sting’s catalog. The Last Bandoleros and Joe Sumner provide excellent solo sets and backing vocals during Sting’s performance.I wish songs like If You Can’t Love Me This Way (best song off 57th and 9th) and the Empty Chair from the Oscar nominated Jim Foley story were included. This DVD is for the fans, to see Sting rock like this is truly a gift for the fans, performing Police songs as good or better than the Police (well, he was the arranger, lyricist, song writer of those hits, some written prior to joining the Police), it’s awesome to see Sting deliver a performance with such energy and power.Thank you Sting!

Great Audio and Video Concert for Sting Fans
If you are a fan of Sting's music, I think you will enjoy this concert video as I did. The audio and video quality is quite good as he sings many of his iconic songs.

Great concert
This is one REALLY nice concert. So glad we bought it.It will be a regularly played DVD --> added into the rotation which includes the likes of The Band's "The Last Waltz" and Leonard Cohen's "Live in London at the 02 Arena" (July 17th, 2008).

Sting Live at The Olympia Paris (Blu Ray) Review
This is a great show and well worth the modest price of admission on DVD or Blu Ray even with it’s production edit issues. I believe this show was filmed by true camera professionals. It is in the post production editing that IMHO the final editing was not the best it could have been. Way too many camera shots are included for each song! The edited camera shots typically last from 1 to 5 seconds. Most of them are well less than five seconds each. This is very annoying and hard to stay focused on this stellar concert. The final credits indicated that there were three film editors. Maybe too many cooks spool the broth? How could three professionals mess up the final edit is beyond me? I am not a professional video editor and I truly believe if I had some input on the final edit this would have been a way better final production. I also believe many fans could have also done the same if their input had been listened to and then implemented. Again way too many shots per song and the length of the edits were way too short and too frequent. The longest any particular edit shot was in a song is was only 5 seconds until the last song. Most of the edits were at the end of each verse which again IMHO is very annoying. Finally the edit folks got it right for the final song “ Fragile”. On this song the edit shots were less frequent and for the first time some of them were in excess of five seconds. So the final song Fragile was excellent in terms of performance and video post edit! Well at least the video folks got it right for the final encore song! I watched the Blu Ray version of this and the video aside from the above mentioned edit issues is very sharp. It was played on an LG Blu Ray player @ 1080 and upsampled to 2260 by a 4K OLED 55” TV. I would not be surprised if this concert was originally filmed in 4K format. Assuming this is the case this concert will likely be released someday as a true 4K video. . If so perhaps the film editing crew can finally get it right and spend a couple days on this and correct the above issues. Maybe practice will finally make it perfect. Jack Weston

Audio issue fixed; this is a Spectacular perfomance!
Spectacular Video and Audio Quality! What a performance!!!if only he would bring back Bring on the Night back into the Set list; would have loved to watch this killer band rock and jazz it out!!! Josh Freese is the absolute bomb behind the drum kit; imho about the best drummer out there; he just kills it in every song!My highlight is I Hung my Head; always thought this was one of the most underrated songs in his repertoire!Freese is beyond mind blowing what he adds to this song.As usual the rest of the Band that Sting carries are second to none; the musicianship is about 2nd to none and Sting in addition to being in amazing shape for the girlies; has aged his voice in the utmost superb fashion!Rock on!

One of Sting’s Best
I’ve been a fan of Sting since the early 80’s & have seen alll his concert videos. This one definitely ranks up there among his very best and the 2 hr long setlist has a nice selection of older Solo/Police hits as well as newer songs from his latest 2017 album. Unlike others, the editing didn’t bother me & didn’t seem any worse than any other concert out there. It also has great DTS Hi Def sound/picture. Sting also sings great & plays bass throughout the show. His longtime guitarist Dominic Miller is the only one left from his old band but the new guys, including Sting’s grown son - Joe, make up a great band.
