Accessible, fun, intriguing
I bought this as a gift for my husband. He had been wanting it since he learned about it. He was so excited to play, so we invited over his brother, got our 11yo son involved, and tried to ascend the mountains of madness.I don't care for super crunchy games and this game was the right amount of crunch and straightforward gameplay. The emphasis on resources and the minute changes that occur as gameplay progresses (it's very cool, no spoilers) kept us completely engaged the entire time. The game itself is easy to learn and get started. All the printed pieces, the airplane, and cards are high quality and seem like they have lots of life. The flavor text is *chefs kiss* and we made sure to read it before flipping the timer for gameplay. We did not survive on this trek. Maybe the next party will have better luck and we are definitely interested in launching another expedition soon (i.e. lots of replay value).

Really fun game
This game took a little time to learn, but was totally worth it. There are good tutorials online but you really just need to jump in and then start over if you got in trouble.

One of my favorite tabletop games ever
I knew someone that had this game. After playing it one time, I knew that I had to have it. We had so much fun. It makes everybody at the table do such weird things and you can't help but laugh. Who doesn't like a game that makes you laugh. It's changed the way I see tabletop games forever. There are SO many games out there. Most of them don't have the whole table engaged at all times and laughing. I know everyone has their own likes and dislikes when it comes to tabletop games. But, I've learned about myself that I like games that evoke laughter and joy, not just grueling through rules and tasks. It seems a bit complicated at first, as do many tabletop games when you know nothing going in. But, once you get going you realize it's a mostly simple concept. It feels really good when it locks in with everyone and things get moving along quickly.I liked this game so much, I made my own version of it to play on the river with much more basic rules.I rated it 3/5 for traveling because I'm not sure what it means by that. You wouldn't want to play this IN a vehicle. Maybe I'm thinking too hard about that one. It would be fine to take with you to play somewhere.

I love that this game is a cooperative game that makes actually cooperating difficult. It's an interesting approach, and I think it mostly works. However, people that aren't "into" board games may struggle to play this game, as it asks players to follow some silly rules that may make people socially uncomfortable (silly things like not allowing people to say certain words, or making them sit in unusual ways). Make sure you have a good group of people to play this with before you buy; the "casual" gamer may not enjoy it.

Classic Cthulhu game
Where the Shoggoths live. Cold and horrible Antartica. Where The Thing is merely a guest while The great Old Ones party down. Hard to find but grab it if you can.

We’re All MAD Here...
Great Game, fun cooperative game with a twist. The madness cards are a blast and I usually hate games where I have to make myself look like an idiot but it’s very thematic for this game and none of the cards are too crazy.

Fun and Interesting
Very fun! A bit of a learning curve, but for this game it makes it more fun!!

Unwinable
You can't win this game. The game mechanics and rules won't allow for it. Needs to be recalled and a revision issued. Could use more flavortext from the novel/world. Was fun to play but we've never won. You can't end up with more relic cards over injury cards if you manage to save your leadership tokens and not go mad.

Perfeito.
Não me arrependo nada, estou apaixonada.

Llegó bien empacado y a tiempo. Nada maltratado y sin un rasguño.

Great Group Boardgame!
I love this game!!!!!My friends aren't really board game nerds - They enjoy a bit of articulate, uno etc, so I always find it difficult to get them to play games like Catan and Clank!HOWEVER! Mountains of madness is super interactive and messy, so the energy created is great for first time boardgamers and for a group of friends wanting a fun night!
