Hajj & Umrah from A to Z

I had previously bought it for my husband's hajj but he gave it to a brother who went for hajj too.I was so pleased when amazon had it as my whole family went for 'umrah.Maa shaa Allah, it was a blessing to have it. It is very well detailed and complete for both hajj and 'umrah.

The book is rather old now (1996) and could do with a reprint with better formatting/typesetting. I found the whole design difficult to process; too many colours, font styles, non-uniformity of photos and diagrams, lines not adequately spaced. There are better, more recently published books on the market with more detail. That being said, it may be useful set of aide memoires for some Hajis without access to other resources and is accurate in content.Some points I noted:A sample study showed that two thirds of Hajis could not perform the Hajj properly the first time, hence the writing of the book as an attempt to remedy this.Desirability of performing the Hajj in small groups due to the chance of getting lost.Every pilgrim should be patient and forgiving of others.There is no slaughtering of an animal in the Ifrad Hajj.

Excellent source book, great to have with you during Pilgrimage. Our family went for Umrah, and I had my kids (teens) read also to learn the procedures and memorize du'as.The diagrams are very good, also, illustrated in a text-book example manner that made them easy to understand and memorize.I agree that it is good to read a more detailed book also, but this was a fantastic guide book.

This book was very helpful to me when I went to Hajj, this is a must book that all Hajjies and Hajjahs should read before and during the Hajj. Peace to the Hajjies, May Allah give you the best as you prepare and make your Hajj.

I was looking for good material to get familiarized with Hajj. Out of few books i bought, this is the best one. Comprehensive and Visual explanations are good.
