For me this Wifi Booster is working brilliantly, ive followed the instructions in the manual and set this up as a Wifi Repeater and the Signal has increased downstairs significantly in my Kitchen / Diner which is the room that’s the furthest away from my Router. Previously I was getting 3 bar signal on my phone, and constant disconnections on my laptop when I use Wifi in that room. Im on BT Fibre broadband with a Home Hub 5 and the signal always struggles downstairs but is fine upstairs where the router is placed. I have tried other network boosters, my last one was a Netgear Mini N300 which worked well generally but the Signal between that booster and the original source at the Router would clash and id still have a 2-3 bar signal downstairs even with the booster. Would I like about this Booster in Repeater Mode is its sets up another SSID which basically is a separate Wifi point in my house under the name: Wireless-AC. This proves to be great since I can connect my phone or laptop to this SSID to ensure the devices are always connected to this signal source and there is no clashMy Wifi is no much more useable downstairs, no more frustration at the constant disconnection and slow internet. On my phone I have downloaded a Wifi Signal Meter App to test the signal strength, and the results were staggering. Ive uploaded the pictures to the review and without the booster im getting a Link Speed of 58Mps with 80-85% signal strength. With the booster im getting Link Speed of 325MPS and 100% Signal Strength. To me this shows this booster is working and has greatly improved signal strength and Wifi performance. For people having issues setting up, if you are using this to repeat and boost signal in areas of your property where signal strength is poor then start by setting this booster in the room that your router is placed in. This ensure you setup the device at the best Wifi Signal of your router and it will setup first time. The instruction leaflet is very easy to follow and you have to remember to log in to the router website to set the router up as a Repeater and on site is where you would need to enter your existing Wifi password for the booster to be able to connect to the network.

Doesn't do the job unfortunately
Took a gamble with this as not a recognised brand, but unfortunately I will be returning. Not the smoothest of setup procedures - I had difficulty accessing the device via a browser in order to enter the relevant settings. Oddly it won't let you access via a browser again, unless you perform a reset on the device. When I reset the device it still wouldn't let me access again via a browser. The main issue, though, is that the signal is intermittent, frequently cutting out. When the signal was off, there seemed no way of easily restoring it. Tried switching off and back on again, to no avail initially. The signal was just randomly restored at a later point. I can't be doing with randomness - I just need it to work consistently. Also, with more than one device connected it seemed to struggle, as evidenced by blurred pictures when streaming TV programmes, etc. The TV picture was better when connected directly to the weak signal directly from the router. So if you need consistent, reliable performance, and you want to connect more than one device (probably true of just about every user), then don't buy this wifi booster.

Wish I'd sent it back
I needed an access point for a new office, and I bought this ahead of time. When I first set it up, which wasn't too hard, I noticed that after an hour or two, the wifi wouldn't give me internet, and then I couldn't connect to the wifi network at all (couldn't give me an IP). I restarted everything and it seemed to work, so I didn't investigate further. However, now I'm in the office, nothing seems to work. I will definitely be trying a factory reset and seeing if that works, but otherwise, it's a complete waste of money with almost 0 support to fix.I've also noticed the plug is a weird size and doesn't really fit in either a normal UK plug socket without partially covering the on/off switch, or at all on an extension lead with other plugs beside it - really inconvenient!

easy to set up You must follow the instructions to the letter
I have read some of the reviews and so feel compelled to help other purchasers not go through the learning curve that went through.I too had a bit of stress with these units but now can explain the set up and you will have a stress free install. I have now purchased six of these units and they all work really well and believe me I would not recommend if they were not 100%.No1 Follow instructions to the letterNo2 If you make a mistake then use a pin in reset hole and hold for at least 30 secondsNo3 Once reset unplug from wall and remove lead from unit if you are using one.No4 This will now allow you to connect to the 192.168.10.1 web address, if you don't follow this procedure then you will not be able to logon to the address, I found out after trying for about an hour to logon and could not understand why it had logged on so quickly the first time I tried the unit from out of the box.The other thing not explained in the instructions is you must set the security type because it is disabled by default when first installing, if you don't change the security type then you will not be able to logon to certain web sites. If you read and use this set procedure I guarantee all will run like clock work.Happy stress free install!!!!
