Hit the Keys! Funk, Soul, and R&b: Piano/Vocal/guitar

This is a serious musicians book but you need to be able to read the dots competently, and there are some challenging keys and syncopations. Really good, if slightly cranky, selection of music. Great fun if you're a pianist but also would be invaluable for funky band arrangements. Excellent for using with an arranger keyboard ( e.g.1970s and 1980's funky disco styles). Will keep me busy for a long time!

Fabulous. Has so many of the songs you know and love and at a standard that’s appropriately challenging for an intermediate pianist (once grade 8 but 20+ years on)

Serendipitous collection of VARIETY of tunes. Scores are more challenging than anticipated, which is wonderful. Lot less work for the pianist who will joy need to add your own fills as they are printed in the score.

Il y a de très bons morceaux de funk , de soul et disco et c'est les versions originales donc...difficile à déchiffrer en rythme . L'important est de se faire plaisir

I'm no expert so I can't attest to every note being correct but this is an awesome compilation of fun songs with exceptional detail. Really enjoying this book.
