Exactly what I was looking for...
I was looking for a charger that I could put in the bedroom that had an led that wasn't going to light up the whole room during the night. This has a discrete led on the base which reflects onto the surface you put it on (it's only ever on when the phone is charging), so thankfully it's quite dim and I barely notice it during the night. It's also worth noting that because it's on the base, it's easier to cover with insulating tape if for whatever reason you do think it's too bright, without ruining the aesthetics of the device.The usb connection on the back is also a bonus as I'll no doubt use it to charge up a couple of battery packs I have every now and again.The unit comes with a 1m long white micro-usb cable to power the device (I have the white version of the charger) - which seems sturdy enough, though can't comment too much on how long it might last.Have had no problems charging my Galaxy S7 with it (the S7 has a slim Spigen case attached) - I have it connected to a 5v/2amp plug which doesn't fast charge it (as I don't need it to).All in all, very happy with this charger, in fact, will probably buy another one for work too.
