Mid-Gauge Basics + Much More...: Basic Techniques for the LK 150 & All Manual Mid-Gauge Knitting Machines

Mid-Guage Basics
Ok if you're new to machine knitting but not what I expected. It's American so I know their spellings are different to ours but I get annoyed with spelling mistakes like contract instead of contrast, plaiting instead of plating, does nobody proof read anymore. More pictures instead of just line after line of text to describe tasks would be better for a beginner. I was hoping for some patterns, we don't all want to knit hats, scarves, afghans and baby clothes. An adult pattern would be good.

Needs more illustrations
This book does have a lot of information in it but it is not easy to read. It has lots of spelling mistakes and worse the charts have errors in them. There could be more diagrams and photographs to help explain more clearly e.g. Ravel two stitches at the end...? Which end, what stitches and what is meant by ravel?Frustrating!

What thickness of yarn to use
Book was useful in a way but it is written for the American market so therefore the yarn plys are not the same as the English ones.

Really useful book
Very useful book for reference, although probably not for beginners maybe I have a little experience, but I think it depends how quickly you pick things up

Very informative, useful book
A well thought out and informative book. What I liked about it is that it's written in a user friendly way and doesn't scare you off trying to experiment with a technique. There's something for nearly every machine knitter in this book.
