Jamie Vardy: The Boy from Nowhere

The boy is nowhere to be seen
This is neither a ghost-written autobiography or a biography culled from interviews with close friends and access to the player's personal musings. It's entirely composed of interviews from the press. In theory you could dig out all the source material online which the author has done. The most irritating aspect is that the book is so eulogistic, Vardy is never criticised even during hiss darkest moments. You get no sense at all of the real Jamie Vardy from this book but it is a good collection of press quotes.

Disappointed
I read loads of football biographies and this must be one of the worst. I was looking forward to reading about the rise of Jamie Vardy and don't know any more than I did before. I could have found all this out from the newspapers nothing new. Disappointed,

Very disappointing read up to the point which I gave up. Learnt nothing I didn't already know about our star striker. As others have reviewed, very repetitive and poorly edited.I will have to look elsewhere if I want to find out about the real Jamie Vardy

1 Star is more than it deserves
Probably the poorest football book I have ever had the misfortune to pick up. Gave up less than half way through. No insight to a remarkable player. It should have been a remarkable story. IT WASN'T !
