A CLEAR step up from cheap alternatives.
Don't look at the optivisor as just another magnifier headband, but at a ridiculous price. It's far far more than just your average magnifier.Cheap headsets have Fresnel lenses, which are plastic and warped for contouring, which gives them a limited focal path. The Optivisor has real glass lenses making the focal path not only larger, bit far clearer than their cheaper counterparts. The headband itself is a little disappointing and quite flimsy, bit the optics more than make up for it.

Meh
The zoom and the quality is ok but the working distance / focal length does not make these worth getting. Things have to be very close to the lenses in order to be in focus. Not worth the price.

Great for model making, comfortable to wear, can be worn over glasses
I bought this from Amazon 2 years ago for model making and for fine work it's excellent. The strap is adjustable and it can be worn for long periods of time with no discomfort. One previous reviewer mentioned it wasn't suitable for larger heads but I have a bigger than average head and it fits me fine with room to further loosen the headband. The visor can also be worn over glasses with no problems.

Brilliant for close work.
All of my Colleagues use these at work & I wanted one for home use too.If you have any kind of fine, close work to do, they bring everything into sharp focus & are comfortable to wear.

OK - but value for money?
This does work very well, but I had to extend the headband out to its maximum to fit it on my not too large head. The lenses are glass, which I like. But I have to say that the headgear itself is of "cheap as chips" quality, leaving me wondering where the money has gone, especially when you look at other offerings that use perfectly good plastic lenses and have built-in LED illumination for about half the price of these.Of course, you can buy separately a clip-on Donegan Optivisor Visorlight which sells on Amazon for a mere £47.93 extra. All I can say to that is they must be joking! So I've docked this product two stars. it works, but its only of passable quality, and the absence of a built-in LED is inexcusable at this price.

Gift purchase.
This is a present, so I haven't used it myself but the recipient is delighted with the quality.

No value for money
I ordered this for my husband and we were both disappointed, it is flimsy, no light, no focussing, over £70 for some glass lenses, I returned it
