Bigallet Syrup - Produced at the Foot of the French Alps - Non-GMO, Vegan Friendly, No Preservatives - A Full 1 Liter Bottle (Violet - Violet)

This is my second bottle of Bigallet Violette. It is an acquired taste. I think you either love it or you don't. I love it. I mix a little with selzer water, either raspberry or mixed berry seems to be the best. It's also OK with lemon seltzer water but I wouldn't mix it with any actual soda of any flavor as I think that would be too strong. I haven't tried baking with it yet but think I might try it with meringues or perhaps in a white cake with some royal icing. I love Leone Violetta candies and this is the closest I can get to mixing a soda with the same subtle flavor.

I bought this because I fell in love with Aviation cocktails and I can't obtain Creme de Violette liquer nearby. I can't begin to say how strong and wonderfully true the violet flavor is! I've been experimenting with it...it goes wonderfully with gin, vodka, cranberry juice, lemonade, and I've even tried a bit in my coffee!

This product has an unconvincing deep royal purple color, and it is very sweet. It is also so dense that it sinks in wine, an experience I never had with other violet liqueurs or syrups. I am very disappointed. I can't imagine how to use this now that I've tasted it. It's not good for vin cuit or any kind of kir. Yuk!

Yeah, it tastes like perfume, just like all violet flavored stuff does. I love it, partly because of that. It's very novel. Just like the little Violet candies!

It smells delicious, the flavor is light though. I don't usually follow directions though (it says 1 part syrup to 8 parts water) I dilute it quite a bit more than that. Still tasty and delicious.

I've tried this and Monin. This syrup is maybe too sweet? I find myself wanting more violet flavor but using more just makes it unbearably sweet.

Love this with lemonade! I add it to a powdered lemonade mix and I am in my happy place!
