The connector itself will be the "weakest link" in terms of ampacity, if that's the reason for your question. The connector is equivalent to Molex's Mini-Fit Jr spec which is rated at 9A and assuming aluminum conductor with the 80*C insulation the wire should be good for 12ish A.

Will it work with FX 8 core cpus? They require a lot of wattage.

can i use two of these next to each other to extend 8 pin to 8 pin? do they fit?
