Great Book! High quality paper used too!This book is excellent in explaining people places and groups in the Old Testament, It helps at all come together. Insightful and fascinating information. Definitely a must if you want to know the Old testament.

My husband bought this book as a requirement for one of his college courses last year. But it's one of the few books (of nearly 75) that we still use. It's a great reference to use along side the Bible. It either takes a step back to see the entire context as a whole, or focuses in on the details to clarify. I am definitely happy to have this book, and makes the Bible a lot less intimidating.

I love this book. I know the Old Testament fairly well, from going up in a Christian household. This furthered my knowledge on so many subjects and brought up much I hadn’t gleaned on my own!!

I order this book as a reward for completing an Old Testament Bible Instruction Class. The recipients are teens between the ages of 14-16. It is a beautiful book, one that they will have in their personal home library for many years to come.

Very helpful to understand a summary of each book of the Old Testament

From the perspective of content this book is good quality. Hindson, self admittedly, tells the old testament story, in an easy to understand manner.My complaints:This book seems to be one of many Hindson has written and forces on his students. There is even an additional "study guide" LU makes you buy with it. Also the author is generally fair when it comes to theological differences. He makes great effort in comparing all views. Despite this effort tho, some bias comes thru.All in all decent aid to the old T.
