The Rise Of The Phoenix

The "RISE OF" Chante'.
With this release, Chante is digging into her inner diggity while maintaining her core audience with the lushness of her ballads. Chante's voice is ON FLEEK...as usual. Not too many songs that she can't handle. Some may feel that the material given to her is more for a younger woman. My opinion is that this woman has been in the game for over 20 years and ain't too much that she can't tackle and make hers. My favorites...if you wanna get hood with it, while giving that sexy vibe, listen to PRAY. Falling in love with a gansta....Chante, how could you? Very easily. Wanna get all romantic? Leave it to Chante and her song BREATHE. Sure to be one of her staples when she's on tour. All in all, she has given us the variables of her talents all laid out. Funky and sensual all on one cd....and it couldn't come from anyone but a professional in the game. LOVED IT CHANTE!!!

Fantastic album!
I’ve always loved Chante Moore and this album does not disappoint. Great songs that go up and down in tempo and emotions! Her voice sounds outstanding and her whistle tone of “Saving Grace” is like whoa!

A Magical Singer with a Pretty Good Album
A Beautiful Woman with a Beautiful Voice and Magic which many of her contemporaries can only dream of, that's why they pounced like silly cats on her in the R&B Divas show. She is youthful and diligent, however, the album has not one GREAT song, none for that matter. They are lukewarm at best. The production is definitely better than the previous solo effort. The accompanying music videos are good. Chanté had a signed pre-order on her site which still hasn't shipped as of this review being written, even though it was stated to ship in September, so that kind of stuff is always a disappointment.I can see the thematic trial here with the interludes, yet still, 'A Love Supreme' takes the cake as the best of her works.I just wonder, how can there not be a single deep track related to the actual theme and message of the record?Just love songs mostly, where's that jewel about resurrection of Self?It could have been an A + but I give it a C for a great try.

A very smart and well thought-out album
So glad she is still making beautiful music. While she may not have the mega-stardom success of her counterparts, she is well known and certainly well respected in the music industry. Many artists who entered the business during her era cant say the same. The best way to describe her new release Rise of the Phoenix is "smart". This is a smart, clear thinking and uniquely crafted album. Very Aquarius! The 3 paralyzing beautiful "Journey" Interludes and the introspective "I Know" are perfect examples of classic Chante. There are no fillers on this album. Chasin', Pray, I'd Be a Fool, Saving Grace, We Up have been on repeat since I purchased the album along with the 3 interludes and I know.

The Best from the Best
Chante Moore is one of the best singers in the world. This album proves it. More than any other album before, she shows off her vocal range and artistry. My favor single is "OFFAU". This should become a worldwide hit. Then there's "I'd Be a Fool", "Somethin to Remember", and "Super Lover". Really you'll love the entire album.I'll let you in on a secret. Chante is also excellent in concert. I've seen her several times. She's one of only two people that can pull off singing a Michael Jackson song. So you know this chick is the real thing.

Delightful voice and vibe
The melodic voice that we have loved for years returns with a fresh sound that is a change of pace from today's musical vibes. Trusting her mix of slow grooves like "Breathe" and "Super Lover" still proves that her voice is a strong and melodic as ever. "Real One" by far receives the most air play as it should, it takes you back to the "A Love Supreme" days.A change of pace from what contemporary radio is playing these days.

Music to drive to...
Chante' Moore continues to provide music filled with energy that flows right through you. I'm her biggest fan and this CD has some of her best songs. I am in love with "Super Lover," "Saving Grace," and "Offa You." I am a bit disappointed in Real One. The lyrics go back to a place in her past that her musical stature is beyond. You rarely find a CD that you love every song on; this one comes very close. Music that makes me want to get in my car, roll the windows down, and blast while I just drive!

A gift to yourself. :)
I am so glad that I didn’t listen to some of the poor reviews on here. You know that’s all it takes to overshadow the good reviews that you read. Chante’s voice is heavenly. She takes VERY good care of it. The songs are smooth , sexy . Every song does not have to be your favorite , for this to be a spectacular cd. There are some songs that I like better than others, however I don’t have to keep skipping songs. There’s only ONE song on the album , that doesn’t do much for me. Get this album everyone. :)

... agree with so many this album is such a disappointment, not one good track
Sorry to agree with so many this album is such a disappointment, not one good track, too computerised, what that fans want is for Chante to go back to basics, and get an album produced again with Simon Law who produced her first couple of albums, with real music, she has the voice , she can write too. The fans also love her jazz material, so maybe a jazz album can recover this mistakeChante recently provided the vocals on Simon Laws album track "Higher" which is how it should be done, perfect vocal, perfect music
