Very Interesting and Very Skilled Overview of Roman Sexuality
A very solid overview of Roman gender, marraige, and sexuality. There were many facts and quotes from primary sources that were exceedingly interesting and I even laughed out loud at some parts.

Interesting content, writing style not for me
Interesting content, writing style not for me. Doesn't read very well and slightly repetitive.

A poor excuse for a book
A poor excuse for a book. Or something to sell. Lets' pool every fact we can find related, no matter how tangentially, to human sexuality and cobble them into a book. and many of these facts are wrong. Just to give one example: The author think St Paul was writing in 160 AD!

very informative
thorough treatment of the topic and a well research review of roman sexual conduct and the rather jaw dropping sexual behaviour of the emperors and their wives.

Romans rubbish lovers so wrong
I bought this book because my work colleague knows everything about the Romans, she said they were all rubbish lovers, this book proves her wrong and it made my week at work.
