This book has very detailed information, especially in terms of pronunciation and grammar which are very easy to comprehend, it’s honestly more helpful than Dulingo

Looks like a good book to help me learn French!
This book seems great. I like the way it is laid out. That each section is taught with a conversational purpose. Seems so much more useful than the textbooks I used to learn Spanish back in middle and high school. I’m just getting started with it, but needed to leave a review to unlock the free bonus materials. I’m giving four stars because it seems like it will be a super useful book, but don’t want to give it five stars as I haven’t really used it yet and have to leave this review to fully unlock everything.

On Chapter 8 and just now tapping into audio assist.
I love the culture tips in the book!I like the quizzes at the end of each chapter. Short and yet tests what I really picked up or not.The book is very FAT at about an inch and a half thick. Yet the pages bend well and work fine for study. (I prefer spiral bound books) I am just now accessing the audio and worksheets.I have enjoyed having this book because I learn by writing and seeing the words visually. It has helped me to set in my minds eye on the French spellings while I listen to the audio. (helps me visualize the words)

A good reference tool
The book claims to be all you need to speak French, but without hearing the words, it is very difficult to know what they should sound like. The phonetic pronunciation guides are helpful, but not sufficient to ensure that I'm making the correct sounds. I'm hoping that the audiobook will fill in this missing piece for me. The grammar explanations are helpful, and because I'm a visual learner, the charts are good too. But having taught another world language for many years using many different techniques, I would call this a grammar-based approach with a sprinkling of dialogues and stories that give some useful context. But I differ with the claim in the introduction that this is the "right" way to learn. It is good way to learn reading and writing, but it needs to be used in conjunction with some other resource that provides the opportunity to develop listening and speaking skills. Perhaps the audiobook will be just that. Writing a review was required in order to download it, so you're getting my take on just the book so far!
