Q: Anyone have issues with the cotton balls clogging in the output hose?

Hi. The trick is not to over fill it. One half the supplied cotton balls works great. It'll also let you reload the filter while you're washing the first set.

Q: does it come with hose

Mine did NOT come with hose. Not sure why previous person answered yes.

Q: Can a sanitizer be added to the container?

Chems get added directly to the pool. The pump circulates the water for effective treatment. No sanitizer needs to be added directly to the pump.

Q: What are the adapter names needed to connect the hose?
