Simple, small, great sound quality
I'd purchased a reasonably priced mid-range laptop from Acer - I couldn't justify the cost of a MacBook Pro anymore. Something I wasn't expecting is how poor the sound is (it's and Acer Swift 16, great OLED display as a sidenote ).The Apple MBPs babe decent DACs so you can just plug in headphones and you're good to go, but this Acer is tiny, lifeless and low on volume. Fine for very casual listening but if you're someone used to half decent headphones (Sony MDR-7506, nothing crazy expensive) you'll appreciate the upgrade. There's 2 buttons, the first cycles through the EQ, which is essentially 4 offerings. Off, Game, Video and Music. Really this is highs, mids and lowend boosts. I leave it on music as that's what I prefer. There's a power match button, if you're using in ear monitors or low Ohm headphones that may be enough, easy to play with though.Turning the volume right down turns it off. I've had it for 6 months now and really enjoy it.If you're someone who likes to apply a lot of extra bass, you'll either want to look for something with more EQ controls or use software. I think for most people the subtle EQ options will suit. For the technical side, it supports 32 bit, 384000 Hz. And Hi- Res Audio certified, so if you're using services such as Qobuz or Tidal, you're able to crank the settings. But don't worry, it's an improvement for any source for me. If you're using Windows you will have to change this as the default for the decide is 16bit

Still working after two years.
I have been using this with two devices. My beyerdynamic dt770 pro and an old Sony HiFi setup. This will adequately power 80ohm headphones when paired with your phone and a USB c cable. It also allows me to connect my phone to a Sony HiFi system that is probably older than me. My phone connects to it via USB c and I can connect to the system either by aux or with RCA as both are supported by the amp. the volume knob is fine adjustable and feels very nice to the touch. When playing music on my phone there is a colour coded light that denotes the quality of music file being played which is a nice touch. The equalizer settings are nice to have although I tend to leave it off. The build quality seems to be pretty good. It has survived multiple drops from a tall shelf with no discernable loss of sound quality. I would say for the price, this will be a good option for anyone looking to get the best out of their headphones or basic sound system and is in my opinion good value for money

Great little unit!
Picked this up for a more 'premium' audio solution for my gaming and movies etc on the PC, using it with a set of Audio Technica M50x, and frankly, this is an absolute audio sweet spot for me.. £210 spent, and everything sounds outstanding. Can't fault it at all. Though will say pick up a decent usb-c cable for it.. I grabbed an Anker usb-c to usb-c cable.. The included one is pretty cheap and I actually found my unit had power issues UNTIL I swapped the cable out. Only reason they weren't 5 stars tbh.

Breathed life into Vintage HiFi equipment
I bought the UNO to use with some existing kit I have. Hooked it up to my MacBook Air and tried it with a vintage Marantz amp I have paired with some Monitor Audio speakers. I tried it with Hi-Res music from both Apple Music and Qobuz. The UNO sounded very impressive indeed.I also have lots of Hi-Res FLAC LPs from HD Tracks, they sounded really good. Whatever I have tried so far it’s always been Hi-Res audio, that’s why I got it. It’s a really good little DAC. I’ve had a few over the years and this has a really nice, clear sound. The sound quality for the price is amazing and it’s a well built little unit. Really Happy and I can breath new life into equipment I already have.

A disappointment
Was disappointed in the construction quality, very flimsy and the connections were noisy, sent back.

Sounds great and at the right price
For anyone who hasn't owned anything from Ifi Audio, the quality of the product alone (especially at this price point) is amazing, both build and audio.I bought this when it came out at £79 and wondered why it wasn't twice the price. It's very dinky and is powered by the USB input on the rear. Mine was connected to my iMac and then from the RCA outputs on the Uno to external active speakers. The difference in sound is incredible and the Uno also has 3 different audio presets for music, movie and games though I only ever used it on Music.Where it really shines is when you listen to a High Res Audio source (Qobuz for me) – that's when this little beauty really sings. An absolute cracker.

works out of the box, sounds great
I use it for gaming and listening to music with a PC. Clean sound, doesn't pick up weird noises like the PC's built in audio. Just plug it in and it works. I tried it on an android phone as well as the Linux PC it was bought for. Only downside, the cheap and nasty USB cable provided was a dud and the device only worked with another cable I used to charge my phone. Took one star off for that.
