Only pouch I could find that was less expensive than the tool, Soft neoprene with velcro flap. Not sure how well it will wear , belt loop seems substancial.

I got these for use on backpack straps, so I can store my Sony Action Cam (AZ1) and have quick access to it. They fit perfectly. However, I had to modify them to work with backpack straps. They only have a strap that will work with a waist belt.
