1/2" Hex to SDS plus Shank Adaptor Power Tools Accessories for Hitachi

This ½" to SDS plus adapter works like a charm , but most ½" hammer drills have a 13 mm chuck and the ½" hex is 12.5 or 12.7 mm flat to flat, but it is about 14.43 or 14.66 mm across opposite corners, so it won't fit down into a 13 mm chuck until the corners have been ground off until they are about 13 mm. this is easy enough to do by clamping the hex part in a vise with each corner in turn standing proud of the top of the vise jaws by about 1 mm and filing it down to near the top of the vise jaws.

Description could have been better. Did not work for what I needed it for. Very high quality item though

I had to grind down part of the shaft to be able to use in an half inch drill, other than that it works great

Great tool to have, now I can use easier to find bits.

Does not fit on 1/2” hammer drill. Need to grind down to fit.

Does not fit in my 1/2” Dewalt hammer drill. Unfortunately I bought and left it in my tool drawer until I needed it then realized it doesn’t fit. Misrepresentation at the least.

This did not fit my 1/2" Dewalt hammer drill as received. The shaft measures exactly 1/2" across the flats, which means it's closer to 9/16" across the points of the hex. I rounded off the points on a grinder, and for 10 minutes of my time, I now have a useable tool. Otherwise, it seems very well made, and at $19, it's a good value.
