I bought this compressor to add some color to my tone. When I received it... I plugged my Fender Strat (HSS) into the Keeley Compressor plus and plugged it straight into a Marshall Origins 50 tube amp. Holy sheet!!! This is the tone I was looking for!!!! Not so much compressed as overdriven! I have every major overdrive pedal you can imagine, BOSS Waza Blues Driver... BOSS non-waza BD, several green Ibanez pedals, ... always looking for that blues sound (think 80's Clapton beer commercial or SRV Texas Strat blues sound.) This thing is incredible. To make it a great upfront clean OD compression pedal, just bring the sustain and level up over the 1 o'clock position and crank up your tube amp. Fabulous pedal. Won't play without it. I leave it on the humbucker setting even through single coil pickups and just tweak sustain and level... as a bonus... the tone knob can be used to bring down the ice-picky treble boost that happens with all my other driver pedals. Well done Keeley!!! (As always.) If you throw out all your other compressor pedals and blues drive pedals and get this one... you will be happy!!!!

This is a good compressor, that's it. It does what it says it can do. The plus is for the blending knob I guess, that's one of the few things you don't get on most compressors. I put it right at the front of the chain and it gives me the EQ and slight boost I need. I play classic hard rock in my current band and it tightens up the sound and adds a bit of bottom end so I use the tone to equalize that. It is a solid, well built product and fits great on my board. This is a 'standard' for good reason. Well built, reasonably priced, sounds terrific, and more than enough flexibility.Controls let you dial in the desired sound effortlessly. And then, you're done -- except that your sound is now what you previously just heard in your mind.

I always have it on, I have it adjusted to add sustain and help clean and clear up my tone, I find I don’t have to work as hard when playing leads, every note stands out better, I didn’t think I would need it, but it helps put my tone into shape

I like the sound BUT this thing eats 9 volt batteries faster than I can buy them. Get the plug in power supply or be ready to spend your time and money replacing them daily.

While Robert Keeley makes many types of effects he is probably best known for his take on compression.This is with good reason. He kills it.Anyway, I believe this is currently his cheapest compression effect. So buy his more expensive ones if you can afford it, but you don't need to... this one's pretty much perfect.Maybe some don't understand how important compression can be to your tone. So allow me to offer that, to my ears, it makes more difference that any overdrive I've ever played.Still, I realize that we all love overdrives. So, maybe put this in front of your favorite and see what happens.I put this in front of my Timmy and into a decent amp and really that's all I need.Simple, flexible and sweet.

This compressor pedal is NOT FOR BASS!This pedal has a bass cut. I was trying to get a light compression setting to unity gain and so toggling on and off a bunch. That's when I noticed a lack of bass when engaged. I compared it with an audio analyzer in the DAW. This confirmed that there is definitely a bass cut in the compression effect.This pedal also pops when activating while a note is still playing. The pop is very pronounced with a bass guitar.Once I discovered the above behaviors, I didn’t bother to test the unit anymore.The orange plot is an open low E string clean. The blue plot is the same note with the pedal active at low compression setting. You can see how the compressor did work, as in the main energy around 100 Hz was subdued while > 300 Hz was boosted. But there must be a 50 Hz HPF in the circuit. Not acceptable for bass guitar.

Best compressor I’ve had in 35 years, hands down. It really smoothes out my overall sound, it squishes without overly squeezing. Strong and clear signal. It totally emphasizes my bass sound. Seriously…..get it!

Love my pedal, I love all the keely pedals, I have also the keely darkside pedal, I can sound like pink floyd no problem with the darkside of the moon based delay pedal and it does even more that just delay, the compressor is phenomenal too.

Der Keeley ist einer der unauffälligsten Kompressoren mit äußerst geringem Rauschen. Er färbt den Ton nur wenig (kann aber auch durch den Tone Regler ausgeglichen werden). Sustain verleiht eine schöne Ausdrucksstärke und langanhaltenden Klang. Sparsam eingesetzt ist er wirklich eine Bereicherung für den Gitarrenton ohne zu matschen oder den Ton zu verfremden. Kaufempfehlung!

Allgemein gibt nichts auszusetzen, das Produkt Ist einwandfrei. Für den Preis perfekt.das Produkt funktioniert zuverlässig, aber für private zwecks nur zu hause Gitarre spielenbring es nichts.
