Solid for sure, BUT!! A bit too tight on the cam.
Great tool, didn’t just slide on the cams like you’d expect, however a minor adjustment to the clearance of the cam slots and off to the races. I’d say it was a pretty good deal and blew oem tool pricing out of the galaxy.

Worked decent
This tool worked decent on a 2018 3.5 ecoboost. This tool is not designed to hold the cams while torqueing the phaser/sprocket and it will bend.

Nice tool
Worked great. Will have to lightly tap them down, but man do they work.

Perfect fit.
I use this same brand of tool for many timing sets I have at work that I use atleast monthly. I have no issues with them.

Not useable after 2 uses.
It worked great on the right head. But the left is shaped a little different and the tool doesn't fit down far enough to completely secure the camshafts. I had to get someone to lean on a pry bar on top of the locking tool to keep the camshafts from rotating when I was breaking the phaser bolts free and then again when I was torquing them. The camshaft actually bent the tool because the phaser bolts are torqued so tight. So if you're doing this job repeatedly, consider the more expensive options that are made of harder steel. But it did help in a pinch.Update: used this twice and both bars are so bent they're not even useable now. The metal spreads and allows the cams to rotate out of position. Even the socket they include broke.

Perfect extra helping hand
Perfect tool to use for a timing chain replacement.

Not the best.
The plates are flame cut or possibly plasma cut, either way, it's not a very accurate method of profiling something that needs to be accurate. They do work but you'll have to file or grind them out until they fit which takes a fair amount of time. The Torx driver and the tensioner holder work just fine. If you buy a different brand make sure you get a kit that includes the Torx driver. It's not a standard Torx size and is very difficult, if not impossible to find. A standard driver will not work.

Ford 3.5 engine cam retaining tool
I used this cam position tool to hold my 2011 Ford Edge 3.5 engine cams in place while I replaced the engine water pump and timing chain. This tool worked as designed. It fit snug on the cams as expected. No tool modifications were required. When reinstalling the new timing chain, timing marks on the chain and engine aligned as expected. No issues with this tool

Highly recommend
Fit was perfect for 2018 F-150 3.5L ecoboost.

Bad product
Metal too soft can’t hold the cam for torque.

Not strong enough
Fitment for the cam is loose, and tool not long enough to sit on the head.Tool not strong enough to hold cam while removing cam bolt, and spread out (see picture) despite instruction say you can use it for that.I Recommend holding cam with a wrench.
