Working with Words: A Handbook for Media Writers and Editors Ninth Edition

This book was so helpful when writing in my media class! I would recommend to any student or writer in general.

Very insightful

I bought this book for a basic writing course for school. It taught me a few things I did not know and provided easy and clear examples. I am even thinking about buying it (originally rented it) since I like it so much.

Had to buy this book for a college class. It doesn’t seem to have a clear audience in mind. It lists all of the grammar rules using technical explanations (I.e. put a participle before this subjunctive clause type of wording). Normally this would be fine except a lot of the explanations are for extremely basic rules, which would only be useful to beginners. The problem is beginners aren’t going to understand that type of definition. Seeing this makes me wonder who the target audience is meant to be. If you’re not already comfortable with the material, I would pass on this one.

The digital copy had many grammatical errors and wouldn’t save the page you left off on.

Book was advertised as used acceptable. Book is far from acceptable. Plastic spiral binding is crushed top and bottom of binding is crushed snd split almost can’t open book. Had to buy new copy from another source.
