Mignon Facile Espresso Grinder

My husband had been talking about wanting this grinder for his at home coffee bar since we first started dating. I didn’t really get it since I’m not in the coffee game like that, but man has this grinder changed me. The micro dial to “dial in” your grind is so smooth. It’s veryyyy quiet when it actually grinds the coffee (which is shocking because this isn’t even the silencio version!) and super efficient! You can set the portafilter on it and walk away while it grinds coffee. It’s consistent. It’s dependable. It’s SO worth it!!

This machine is a marvel of engineering and specification that only a genius can create, possibly the best grinder that is even remotely affordable. I would love to someday get one of the fancy exspinsive models, but I hope to enjoy this Facile for years ahead because I do not really need any frills, and plan on upgrading the burr down the road. I know they say there are some other manufacturing differences between the lower and higher models of the Mignon, but honestly, practicality is king until I am retired or become rich. I have been using this basically daily for over a year now and it still seems brand new. Just be sure to clean it often, I vacuum mine once a month.

This is a gem of a grinder if you want a simple, quiet, workhorse that will get the job done with consistent, top notch precision and next to no retention.

This grinder looks great, is very quiet. Provides a consistent grind size, and can go beyond what's required for good espresso, as well as wide enough for drip and french press coffees. The size adjustment, while is infinite, can sometimes be difficult to keep track of for purposes of switching between beans. Absolutely no issues with static. The noise level is probably one of the biggest pros to this grinder. Lacks features like timed dosage etc but for this price point and quality I would recommend this to any entry level to intermediate coffee lovers.

Could not have chosen a better grinder than this guy. It’s built like a tank I see no reason why this machine won’t outlive me, especially with the ease of getting replacement parts. It does a perfect job of grinding and is very easy to adjust and it’s as quiet as a grinder can possibly get.
