These are super easy to adjust the depth, and makes switching from basket to basket a lot more user friendly. However, I deduct 1 star for coffee ground get trapped around the edge. Btw I use VST basket which is slightly larger. But if MHW offer the 58.5mm version would definitely helps the situation.

Obvious stains on the item upon receiving. It also did not come with a box comparing other items of same brand. Clearly a returned/refurbished item

Pretty nice tamper!It is not as fancy as the alternatives but it does look great and performs great. You just place it on top of the portafilter and press down. It then applies the amount of pressure you have it set to.The tamper is made of a nice and hefty metal. The black powder coat is even and nice to the touch, and the walnut wood on top makes it look extra luxurious. The tamper portion is also patterned, leaving circular indents throughout the puck which could potentially improve the evenness of the flow of water.As far as effectiveness goes, I can't exactly say if it's any better or worse. It accomplish what I need it to do just as well as my other tampers, but I do have to say that it looks better than my other ones. That in of itself may be the most important factor as far as the hobby goes.

I was fairly happy when I got it, good feel, nice heft, overall great. Mine seems to be malfunctioning the adjustment system is no longer functional and it just spins freely changing elevation. I can’t imagine why it would do this I think I may have had a defective one.

This coffee distributor is quality-made and fairly heavy, so distribution of coffee grounds is simple and quick by spinning the product a few times after placing it on a portafilter.(It's best to use a WDT tool BEFORE the distributor; and use a tamper AFTER leveling the espresso puck with the distributor.)You may have varying levels of success in pulling a good shot, but this distributor helps in being consistent with at least one of your espresso-making steps.MHW-3BOMBER manufactures all the different tools needed to become a better barista; and, the wood top is an especially classy feature in this series of products.

I really like the easy height adjustment. Easy click adjustments rather than taking it all apart and binding two pieces against each other.
