Combat Creatures Attacknid Vanguard Stryder

Ordered two attacknids, Stryder and Doom Razor for my two grandsons for Christmas. Was very disappointed when the Stryder did not fire its darts without jamming. Though the Doom Razor worked and fired its disks without jamming, there was no one for him to attack. I had also ordered an extra set of dart blasters and disk blasters so that each attacknid would have one set of darts and one set of disks. However, Amazon only sent the magazines of darts and disks without the blaster mechanisms, so that was no good.Amazon was very good about replacing the Stryder by shipping a second one, but their distribution staff had no idea about the product itself so they could not understand what I meant by the magazines arriving without the blaster mechanisms. So they merely refunded my money on the extra magazines, but I was left without the satisfaction of having evenly matched combatants.Eventually, I contacted the product manufacturer / distributor in England and a fellow named Lee Scott from WOWStuff knew exactly what I was talking about. He immediately shipped us complementary dart and disk blasters with appropriate magazines which now even out the battle between the Stryder and Doom Razor.My grandsons love them—the seven-year-old took it to his class for show and tell.Many thanks to Lee Scott for saving the day.Amazon's response time and willingness to correct problems is exemplary, however I am still not sure if their distribution staff knows how to properly fill the orders for dart blasters and disk blasters sold separately.Highly recommend this product:- it is a lot of fun, even for adults- the toys are quite robust and work well.- it is great to get the kids to play with actual toys rather than press buttons on an electronic iPad game

I truly enjoy this piece. I'm usually an action figure collector, but this toy lured me into the world of RC and I couldn't be happier. While it bears a resemblance to a childhood favorite of mine, Spydor from Masters of the Universe, the Attacknid is in every way an upgrade to that vehicle. It shoots darts, or if you purchase the add-ons, discs or ping pong balls, and shoots them a decent distance. The cannons can be positioned up or down to alter range, and the head swivels freely to get a great shooting range. The battle brain features turn the machine off after 3 successful hits, allowing a game of sorts, even if not every one in the party has one of these (any nerf weapons are safe to fire back at this robotic intruder!) He moves very well after a little practice, and handles terrain like a champ. Word of note though, he is not quiet, so no stealth attacks on wives in varying states of helplessness will be taking place. Overall, just one of the best toys I've bought in a very long time.

We kept it in the house and only used it as directed, with the remote. When turned on, it stays on a few moments, then makes the sound of when it has been shot down, then powers itself down and won't run. Doesn't work in either mode. First it stopped shooting completely yesterday. Then today barely functions. Even before it powers down it won't shoot, barely can raise or lower weapon to aim. The targeting light works perfectly. Too bad that means nothing.If we get it working, I may update my review, but for now this has been a horribly disappointing purchase.We were so excited the first day that we purchased another Attacknid with disks. We'll see how long that one lasts. They are supposed to be able to fight each other, but it looks like they won't get that chance... $140 between them down the drain.

purchased two for my 8 year old birthday; he was supercharged over it, after having seen it at a store.after 15 minutes of play, turret stopped turning, and missiles wouldn't fire. Just stopped.same thing happened to second unit, a day later.Customer service says "Unfortunately we do no repair or replace items"... C'mon! 15 minutes!??Out over 100 bucks!

I think I love playing with this thing more than he does. I Love the movement, the darts shoot at a ridiculous force (enough to knock a soda can across the room.... yes, I tried), it's actually quite accurate and just overall really well built and fun device. The thing is much bigger than I expected and when it walks on a wood flood it sounds like a marching army coming towards you. It's almost intimidating! Love this thing.

Santa brought these(well one of these and one red Doom Ryder) for my son and myself and although we don't have a ton of time using them yet, what little we used them we've enjoyed. Everything seems to be working as intended and they do seem pretty solidity built. If I had one gripe, I guess it would be that the stickers weren't already put on and there's a ton. :)

Had many hours of fun battling with my grandson, it helped to have him chasing down the darts and discs for reloading. He loved chasing his mom around with them; she wasn't as fond of them as he was. This particular one was a replacement for one that did not work right when I tested it before Christmas. Seller was very understanding and sent another right away. We got it Friday after Christmas and was battling the same day.

This toy is pretty neat. It walks and shoots foam darts pretty accurately, and for a decent distance. Darts fly with some level of force so you need to watch out for people's faces. Agree with other reviewers that the plain packaging and complete lack of instructions (not even a picture of the item on the plain white box) really detract from the otherwise cool toy. I had to log into Amazon to get an idea of what the final assembled toy would look like. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the pain in figuring out assembly without so much as even a picture to work from. There are approximately 350,176 stickers to place during assembly. Would buy again.

My 11 yr old son loves this but couldn't be bothered putting all the stickers on. I have brought my other two boys the red robot each for Christmas, so they can all have a battle.... Could be a very noisy Christmas!!
