After Harry tries sucking up goldfish with the new Vax machine, the siblings embark on a serious adventure, meeting two escaped jewel thieves who are hiding in nearby derelict cottages. The children are thrown into an old lime pit in the woods and have to rely on Harry's ideas to escape and round up the crooks with the help of their dad's massive, Suckerblower invention.
