Solution to my issue
I needed to control a computer about 40 feet away from where it’s tower is (long story). All our equipment is old at our shop, and the first version of this I got was hdmi using converters to VGA, and it just wouldn’t work. I almost gave up on this hairbrained solution until I found this one, it worked perfectly right out the box. I’m sure I lost a little picture quality and maybe there’s some imperceptible lag, but for my application it’s literally perfect.

Consistent Results and Competitive Pricing
I used this product to run a VGA video out of my security system and a mouse back to the master bedroom of my house. I use a multitude of devices of different brands and this one worked exactly like the others I use and the price was very competitive. Since it worked so well, I have purchased two more of these for my business too. I have only used it on a line around 120' so I am not sure what the results may be at the 984 foot advertised range.

Perfect for transmitting HDMI over your home network.
I am using two of these transmitter reciever ssystems to tansmit HDMI to other areas of my home over my home network. It works perfectly with clear pictures as if it were direct HDMI. I was unsure if this would really work over a LAN, through my home router and switches but it does work. You will need a router and switches that support VLAN"s as I put these two multicast devices each on their own VLAN. These are multicast streams and you may need to turn on IGMP snooping on your router to keep them from causing a broadcast storm on the rest of your network.

Package does not include USB A/B cable
The product itself does work as specified (unlike the first one I ordered from a different company). My only complaint is that the package does not come with the USB A/B cable. I didn't read the package details close enough but they could state that the cable needs to be purchased separately and describe the type of cable needed to use the USB (keyboard and mouse) functions remotely. I spent $25 on a cable last minute because my install is first thing in the morning.IF YOU WANT TO USE A KEYBOARD AND MOUSE FROM THE REMOTE (RECEIVER) THEN YOU MUST PURCHASE A USB TYPE A TO B CABLE SEPARATELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent KVM Extender
I have, for years, wanted to move my KVM to a rack. I had to many CAT5e wires going across my wire support ladders and it was a mess. Now the KVM is in the rack and there is only one wire coming back to my monitor, mouse, and keyboard. The quality of the video is excellent. I am only using a 20ft CAT5e cable now. I had tested the extender using a 50ft cable and the video was still excellent.

8 of these FAILED over a 1-year period
I had purchased six of over the course of a year, each time in sets of two. EVERY SINGLE ONE FAILED. Customer support took days (and sometimes over a week) to get back to me. And, when they did, they kept telling me to use the Amazon chat feature to request a return (which I couldn't do because it was past 30 days). The first two I purchased lasted about 8 months. The second set only lasted a little over a month. And the 3rd set failed within 2 weeks.

Finicky on the gain switch but worth the price. Works on a 100ft run with low signal degradation.
Just received a month ago. Have a 100ft run with good equipment on both sides. At first setup and since I wanted to test before going through full installation the receiver end monitor wasn't showing video clearly. This was due to the gain switch. It takes a little bit to get it right. However, once final install and most likely due to more line impedance due to length of run the gain switch provided ample video stability. I would recommend.

Does work
The device does work. The USB functioned correctly when I hooked up a mouse However, make sure you are using a router that can support gigabit speed or else you may get a partial image at times.
