My friend Graham recommended this film to me
My friend Graham recommended this film to me, suggesting it was a “special interest” film for homosexual gentleman. As a homosexual gentleman I thought this sounded just right, but I turns out he was playing a prank on me! It was an animated comedy about food! Very funny! (The prank and the film)

I'm repeating myself
The trailer was funny, but that was the only funny bit. A very poor film, and my standards were set to 'let's enjoy a really silly movie' when I watched it. Nobody minds crude if it's funny - this is not. Really.

?
I think you either need to be high or smashed out of your tree to truly enjoy this film. I watched it sober and found some bits mildly amusing? The ending just left me feeling like I needed to go get some form of counseling for what I'd seen...

Nice Buns
As far as animated comedy movies about sausages becoming self aware, rude and mildly offensive, this was one of the best from the genre. The animation is decent, the story is silly but entertaining, the voice acting is spot on for the characters and the jokes are funny, if a little repetitive in places. It won't be for everyone as many jokes rely on racial stereotypes and sexual humour but it's heart is in the right place with it's message that everyone should just learn to get a long and be friends. For me it wouldn't stand up to repeat viewings but worth seeing once.

Very Disappointed.
Rented this via Amazon Prime due to original order (dvd) not having a disc in the case; Unfortunately I must agree with some of the other negative reviews on this movie; The strong unnecessary adult language was just too much. This ruined the movie for me as it was not made clear in the description or adverts regarding the level of strong language (allowing a proper informed decision); I stopped watching it quite soon after the start due to this. Very Disappointed.

Lots of Laughs - but a bit rude
Certainly a bit rude with a lot of swearing and for embarressment reasons not a film you would want to see with anyone but a really good pal alongside you. However, it is extremely funny and some of the caricatures are spot on. I also liked the imagination brought to the "characters" in the supermarket, and there are certainly some interesting questions raised about belief and values which were quite unexpected - but at the end of the day, just fun to watch sausages, buns, bagels, potatoes etc take centre stage, with I am sure some famous people doing the voices.

Tedious, overly political, lazy, loud, immature dross.
Loved the look of the animation, could have been a great movie if the focus had been on entertainment rather than the writers' political agenda but, apart from a couple of funny moments, it's not funny. Tedious, overly political, lazy, loud, immature dross. Still, I shouldn't have expected much from an animated film called 'Sausage Party'.

MOSTLY GOOD
VERY FUNNY UP UNTILL THE DISTURBING “ sex scene “ AT THE END OF FILM, WE WERE LEFT SHOCKED, WE OFTEN WATCH RUDE COMEDIES, LIKE ( jackass Bad Grandpa) BUT THIS WAS DISTURBING EVEN BY OUR STANDARDS. BUT WE WILL WATCH IT AGAIN ONE DAY, AND FAST FORWARD THE ENDING SCENES.
