Nice antenna
Received and attached to my car, trunk lip mount. I have to remove the antenna pretty much after every use and it fits in the trunk with no issues. Tuning was a little disappointing, I could not get below 2:1 on any band, but built-in tuner is handling it fine.Good signal reports from local 10M net, still need to try on 6M and 440.I am using as a temporary until I can get my ATAS-125 fixed, but as a backup and for now works well. Also, did not collapse driving 40 miles @ 75mph, so definitely sturdy enough. Note: This is a re-design from some of the previous reviews: the collar definitely shows signs of reinforcement.

Well-built, but a definite compromise
I used this for my HF (shortwave) transceiver in a pinch while my “big” antenna was out of commission. It hears the lower frequency stuff pretty well (20m+) but 10m was not great. I did hear amateurs in Europe and South America maybe once or twice each on 10m, but wasn’t able to make any contacts over the couple of weeks that I used this. Put some blame on the poor solar weather at the time and my limited band privileges at the time; I bet I could at least get some 20m and/or 40m contracts on this now. Maybe I’ll run that experiment and update…

Solid built quad band antenna, works as advertised.
Seems to be a copy of the Diamond quad band I have, almost identical but possibly better built, time will tell. Have been using on 6m and 10m FT8 without issue.

Wish I had read the reviews.
I bought this antenna, hopeful it would work with the TYT TH-9800 I bought. It works on all four bands ok, but, had I read the 1-star reviews, I would have noticed the fact that the fold-over feature on this antenna does just that at speeds in excess of 45 mph! When it folded the first time, it scared the bejeezus out of me! It wacked the roof so hard, I thought a boulder had blown off of Sandia Peak onto my car! When I got home, I wrapped the only tape I had around the joint: some clear packing tape. Well, that didn't work. So, I've put back my dual-band Comet antenna and I'll try to decide if I want to keep it for stationary, portable ops, or return it. Your thoughts would be welcome. Has anyone figured out a fix? Thanks! 73 DE N2GJ, ABQ, NM USA

Bought a second one
I bought a second one of these for camping with my radio. I already had purchased one that is currently mounted outside our home. I use it for my FT-70DR at the current time, but will be able to use it with whichever HF radio I buy, at least for the bands it works with.
