I use my iPad outside in the heat quite often. I have it enclosed in a Otter case. I didn’t think it through when I purchased this cold fan, but it will not work through the case at least not in the configuration I have it. But I’ll adapt it and make it work. It’s an amazing device and actually gets really cold when you turn it on.

This is good cooler for most laptops; however, my Surface Pro 7+ has a built in cpu fan. The cooling area is the top right of the screen. Unfortunately, most cases cover this error not allowing the cooler to do it's job. When I mounted behind the kick stand ( my case does not cover this area ), it got very hot up to 85c. The hottest without any 3rd party cooling device would be at 48c. Upon removing the magnet for the cooler, my temperatures went down to 35-40c. Perhaps the magnet affects the fan built in the Surface Pro 7 + cpu cooler? Tried the cooler on another device without cpu fan (i5 passive cooling) and the temperatures went down. So, I give it 5 starts with the exception of the issues using my Surface Pro with built in cpu fan.

It was advertised as customizable for the colors and flashing, but that wasn’t true. I was very disappointed with that, so be aware of it. However, it’s not that big of a deal since it always faces away from you. I got used to the unnecessary distraction. I’d prefer to be able to just turn the lights off if I can’t make them a non-flashing dim green.It is very powerful and very cold! I love it! It can be kinda loud, but that is expected. It’s actually designed in a way that reduces the noise level dramatically - other brands will be a lot louder at this power grade. My favorite part is sometimes when I take it off I see the condensation in the air immediately bubble up and crystalize on the bottom. It gets that cold.I use it with a 65W cube that plugs into the wall. It shares that with my iPad Pro’s charging cable. So I believe it’s usually at about 30W. It’s strong enough to keep my iPad at a healthy temperature (therefore no auto-dimming or lag at all) THROUGH the magic keyboard case WHILE playing Genshin Impact at the maximum graphics with 120fps. (If you don’t know that game, just realize it means I’m essentially playing PS5 level graphics on a comparatively tiny iPad.) And I usually just use airpod pro’s with noice cancellation to completely disregard the fan sound.I do recommend this device. I just hope in the future they add a way to customize the lights and/or turn them off. That was the *only* complaint!

The cooler doesn’t want to stick to the surface. Surface was cleaned properly and the fan was attached. One day later it was laying on a desk. The sticky part just doesn’t stick and the company doesn’t sell replacements.Also, they stated that the product is safe for MacBook laptops. Yet it totally messing up with the screen and graphics. Picture is distorted and I’m afraid this may caused permanent damage.Very unhappy with this here.

This thing is amazing. I even got one for my mom when pc gpu just to set on the backplate. Holy smokes it gets better be on one side.

The product itself is pretty efficient, just like a CPU fan on PC. But, for iPad gamer, the iPad + the cooler are too heavy to play full gyro.
