Very good but extremely expensive
Extremely expensive but I don't use my inkjet printer much, so an infrequent outlay. Very good results with sharp text (in HQ mode) and clear, vibrant, accurately coloured photos on appropriate photo paper. Apart from minor differences in skin tones etc (only noticeable when comparing side by side) the same photos printed on a 5-colour inkjet printer that is available to me look identical. The minor tonal difference is not surprising and the whole point of 5-colour printers. One photo printed 5 or 6 years ago, framed in a position that is exposed to the sun from late morning to early evening does not appear to have faded at all though if reprinted there probably would be a difference.About 3 years ago I bought some compatible cartridges from a shop but they were useless for photos and after not using for 4 or 5 weeks 2 of the colours stopped working. Eventually cleared after multiple head cleaning procedures. Since then have only used Brother original cartridges. For anyone not too bothered about photo quality or potential fading and who prints a lot, compatible cartridges would be the obvious choice.

Worth spending a little extra to get the genuine product
I normally buy the printer manufacturers own ink cartridges as I like to get good results when printing out my photo's etc. and to know that no damage is being done to my machine. The following is a cautionary tale which I think justifies buying genuine ink cartridges for your machine. I once tried to save money by purchasing a set of 'compatibles' for my Brother all-in-one A3 printer. They worked fine and produced good results. However, after a while the warning light came on stating that my cartridges were almost done and that I should replace them. I set about removing the spent cartridges only to find that they were far from empty and they leaked all over my carpet. I presume that the chip on the cartridges did not communicate properly with my machine and sent out an erroneous message. Needless to say I have only used genuine cartridges ever since. With that in mind, I feel that the price for this genuine Brother ink cartridge is far from excessive and you are guaranteed excellent results.

Manufacturers Printer Ink
There are many printer cartridges that you can buy that are not genuine Brother cartridges. I have bought these in the past and they do not work in the printer. These were genuine and although more expensive to buy they work well. Better to spend a little more than to buy cheaper ones that do not work.

Brother labelled product at competitive price
The ink cartridge is used on a large multi-function Brother printer taking sheets up to size A3.Due to the high cost of printer cartridges, I have tried other manufacturer's less expensive cartridges and unsuccessfully attempted refilling myself. Recently I discovered this Brother cartridge on Amazon at significantly better price than I have found with high-street stationers.

ALMOST EMPTY ‘NEW’ CARTRIDGE... BEWARE
‘New’ cartridge inserted in printer, but as shown in pic, is already nearly empty... Amazon will be contacted to let them know that this is clearly not a ‘new’ cartridge.

Quality and Quantity
Fantastic Value for money - I only ever use the proper make of ink. I made the mistake of buying so called compatible inks once.... it killed my printer. Never again. Now have new Brother printer and I will never put anything except Brother inks in it.This pack is perfect. Great quantity and great quality.

Only lasted 3 pages!
Prestige Cartridge sold me several that seem to be counterfeit. They only lasted printing of about TWO pages. Either they were sold empty or they were counterfeit. Obviously a ripoff in these cases!
