I was careful to read the entire description. I always, always, always order only 100% cotton bed things. This was described as such, but as soon as I felt it, I knew it contained polyester, which I detest, especially to sleep under. Trying to remain positive, I washed it and was determined to try it at least 1 night. Coming out of washer, was covered with gross little balls of broken polyester threads. During the night, woke up roasting under the non-breathable 30% (or so label reads) polyester, 70% cotton coverlet. Have given it to local shelter and will never deal with this company again.

We received this coverlet in a timely fashion. But when we unwrapped it, it really, *really* stank of a chemical odor and had a greasy texture. Just unfolding it and carrying it down to our washing machine gave me an itchy rash on my hands.Washing it once removed most (but not all) of the chemical smell, but even though I washed it in cold and dried it on low, the coverlet has apparently significantly shrunk. The description says the king should be 96"x104". After washing it, it has shrunk to 90"x104". I hope it doesn't shrink anymore!Aside from the stink, the rash, and the shrinking, I like the design and the ivory color.

This isn’t a bad coverlet, but it’s not truly matellesse. The design is woven into the coverlet.The material is stretchy and contains polyester. (This is in the description. )Scratchy, not soft, but will probably be ok after washing.That said, it’s an ok coverlet and would look nice on your bed. Also probably very good for kids. I got the yellow and the color is lovely.

What do I like most about this coverlet? It's beautiful at a beautiful price. I was so pleased that it was a light, soft, sage green - the color shown for king/queen coverlet. I washed the coverlet as soon as it arrived. I didn't measure it, but it fits my queen bed just the way I hoped it would. No need for me to take a photo - trust me, it fits my bed perfectly and I'm happy. The material is so soft and when I pull it back at night it does not leave a crease across the middle of the coverlet. Pulling it halfway or 3/4 down at night leaves enough material to add a bit more warmth to my feet and legs. Happy, Happy! Thank you!

I don't know why, but they're making queen bedspreads really small now days. This is a universal problem. When you get it on the bed it doesn't even cover the end of the mattress.I'm getting wise to this and bought the king. It's a little long on the sides (only about 6 inches too long), but perfect for the length.I would NOT have been happy with this purchase had I bought the queen. Two people would end up fighting over the blankets and the bed wouldn't look good when it was made.This is a very nice quilt in general. Decent quality. A bit thin as most quilts are, but great for layering. Fantastic bargain for the price. I think the queen size would fit a double bed well.

I like this coverlet, though will note that it shrunk in the wrong direction. Based on other reviews, I bought a king size coverlet for my queen bed and promptly washed it (it kind of smelled coming out of the packaging, anyway). I didn't measure the coverlet before washing, but after a delicate wash and low heat drying, it now measures 102x87. I wish it hadn't shrunk so much in the width and shrunk more in the length as the corners still drag on the floor. Also, note that one side is straight, while the other three are scalloped, which limits your options for purposes of turning the coverlet 90 degrees. And the scalloping seems rather more pronounced in person, as opposed to the picture. Oh, and the ivory is ivory, but looks a bit closer to white (and less beige) than the picture.

When I received this item, I felt that it looked like what I expected. I immediately washed and dried the bedspread according to the instructions. It was very disappointing to see the product after I washed it. First of all, the creases in the material from being folded and in a package did not come out. And, even worse, the scalloped edges all around the bedspread frayed, so you saw areas of white on the blue edging. I felt this was unacceptable for a brand new item, so I returned it.

I gave this product one star but 1/2 star would be closer to what I think of it.The quality is very poor. The material looks cheap and the pattern, which is much more noticeable than usual in this type of matelasse coverlets, is way off center.The customer service sends all this extensive instructions for returns and expects me to pay for return shipment which is more than $25 no matter what. I'm very dissatisfied with this seller and would like to recommend Amazon to drop them from their roster.
