Pacman Firebox Pac-Man Lamp 19757

I do like my lights, and this looked good in the adverts. And who doesn't like Pac-Man ?This was a bit bigger than I had expected. It's almost the size of a football, so bear that in mind before buying.It was easy to set up. Just plug the PSU into the bottom rear of the Pac-Man, switch on. You'll be greeted by the Pac-Man arcade start music, and a really bright, really yellow light. Thankfully, you can tone-down the light from retina-burning yellow, to just about on. There is also an off button, and a sound effect button, on the remote. Press the sound effect button and there are a random selection of Pac-Man sounds from a maximum of 12. Ranging from the opening arcade theme, to the munching sound, to the die sound, etc...It's all a bit plastic, and doesn't weigh anything. But, for the money, it does look good in a dark room.

If you love Pac Mac - and who doesn't - you need this. It makes Waka-Waka noises and other sound effects, but they can be turned off - or rather, you can turn it on without the sound, and the other times it makes noise is it because you pushed a button.The glow is awesome and it's a good size. Only criticism I'd have is that the power cable could be a little lighter and longer - it pulls the very light lamp around if you need to stretch for a socket.Still. It's such a good shape and colour, five stars.

I was a little apprehensive after reading the reviews, particularly regarding the remote. I hope I'm not jinxing myself but so far, the remote is still working a week later. The light was bought for my 7 year old son who is a gaming boy and he absolutely loves this. He doesn't play with the remote and we use it primarily to switch the light on/off ever night or to adjust the light brightness. The sounds are awesome and no issue to hear when you first switch it on, it's part and parcel with the light so can't be annoyed by it. Definitely retro and the ambience created by the soft glow is awesome. We love it and now want to get the ghost lights from Pacman.

The only thing that is immediately disappointing about this is that the black of the mouth is not very black! It looks like it's been sprayed badly so the light shows through where it shouldn't, but totally fixable. For the price though it's as good as you can reasonably expect.Remote works fine thus far and you can turn it on and off without the sound so not sure why people moan about that! There are lots of stages of dimming, and it's a really warm friendly glow, it's great!

The coolest lamp E-V-E-R ! The remote is great and can adjust brightness and make sounds! It's a must for every gamer and retro gaming enthusiast! Great price!

Great design. Bigger than I thought it was going to be - just right for one of those little square Ikea freestanding shelves in my sons play room. Light is a nice glow too. As mentioned by other reviewers... the control is a waste of space though. I’ve hooked ours up with an Alexa controlled plug so the kids just ask to turn Pac-man on... and on he comes.

Absolutely love this and can’t wait for my son to open tomorrow! It can be dimmed down, it does make noises but I think only when you press the remote or turn it on. It’s quite big and good quality. He is going to absolutely love this!!
