Pocket Playhouse: Thirty-six short entertainments Hardcover – 7 Sept. 2017

I wish that the sole reviewer before me had explained exactly why he thought this was pretty rubbish as that might have saved me wasting my money too. Our little drama group has used plays from the Matchbox Theatre and found some of them entertaining. The blurb on the back of this book states that it contains monologues, duologues and polylogues. Sadly the majority are monologues and not suitable for our group, and the few duologues are rather repetitive. Altogether a great disappointment.

Seller was OK but this book is pretty rubbish.

I heard an episode from this on BBC radio within their comedy section. There were one or two interesting set ups but the dialogue is not witty. It is rather dull, repetitive and heavy-handed and did not make me laugh.
