Used as a replacement for Sony MDR-W08L - worked far better than wireless ***p
Like many others I was searching for a replacement for great old Sony MDR-W08L headphones, this is far cheaper and yes quality isn’t at Sony level, but not only it’s good enough replacement (at cheap price) but also far better than cr*p wireless stuff that falls out of yer ears or batter is junk. You can still use it as wireless like I do by getting one of the many cheap bluetooth received that support 3.5mm jack - overall package works great. Build quality is good enough, for sports too.5 stars well earned - it’s CHEAP too.

Started well but only lasted a month. I wouldn't bother.
I bought these as the Sony equivalent of this type of headphone has been discontinued.I don't like the in ear ones - especially if i am in the gym as they fall out too easily. The first couple of weeks, everything was fine. I use them for about an hour every other day. They are comfortable to wear and fit pretty much any sized head. I don't have them on maximumlength. However by the 3rd week the sound on the right side was breaking up and now refuses to workat all. I've checked the lead and it seems the problem is the lead down by the adapter. I've trieda different set of headphones and they work fine, so these headphones are definitely faulty. The build quality isn't great.Shame because they cost quite a bit. I expected they would last longer. My old Sony ones,i've mislaid but they worked in the same conditions for years. If they had been £3 i would say, well that's not bad... but £25. Hmmm not good enough.

They don't smother your whole head and make your ears feel like they are encased in a pillow
As others have mentioned already, these are a god-send for people mourning the loss of the similar Sony and Sennheiser designs. Persoanlly I can't understand why this isn't a more universal and popular design. They don't smother your whole head and make your ears feel like they are encased in a pillow, neither do they flop out of your ears if you so much as raise your eyebrows. I don't know if it's a fashion thing, but am baffled that this kind of design seems to have a cult following when it should really be the norm.

so I thought I should try it out since I was in need of some good headphones which do not fall out during running
The first thing that attracted me to this product was the price and reviews. All the reviews seemed positive, the product seemed fairly cheap, so I thought I should try it out since I was in need of some good headphones which do not fall out during running. Now the first feature of the product I will review of the product will be the sound.Sound: As a runner, I wasn't looking for perfect sound, just decent enough to do the job really, and these headphones certainly offer that. The sound quality is good/acceptable. The bass can also be quite deep at times which is pretty cool. When you have the volume on full (I use my sony Xperia) it does isolate sound, so it will be hard to hear other people or your surroundings. This is certainly a inidividuals own preference as I personally like noise isolation during running. So overall, sound is not too much of a issue, it offers good quality sound for headphones in it's price range. When running hard and long, the headphones fall loose slightly but certainly do not fall off or drop out. You may, after a while need to stop just to push them in and adjust.Build Quality: In my opinion this is the most critical part of the review, and a deciding factor when purchasing. When I first opened up the package, I was quite surprised, as I wasn't expecting something so skinny and cheap looking. The item itself is very thin, made from very cheap and weak plastic and I was sceptical on how long this item would actually last. I put it on, seemed fine there are no comfort issues with these headphones and it can be easily adjusted to suit your preference. But over time constant fiddling with adjusting and moving it up and down can certainly cause wear and tear as it's made from cheap plastic. It has a clever design, however nothing strong to support the clever design. The cheap plastic certainly lets it down. If they brought out another product in the future made with stronger, better quality materials, a slightly thicker headpiece then it would certainly be a better piece of equipment. Now, two months into using my headphones, one side has broken. Bare in mind I use these nearly everyday for casual use aswell. I'm also not a person who leaves headphones lying around so someone can step on them. No, on the contrary I always keep them safe in my bag. However, despite my conscientiousness it still managed to break from what I believe to be constant adjusting in combination with a very cheap and weak build quality. And to summarize it's a headset with decent quality sound, but is let down by it's cheap and weak design. For runners, yes it does stay in your ear during running, has little to no comfort issues and can be adjusted. However again I doubt the longevity and the reliability of the product due to the build quality. So for £30 would I recommend it? Unfortunately no, and I would suggest finding a decent pair of earphones for cheaper. If you still want headphones with a head piece like this one, Try to find one with a strong and thick build which is resistant to normal wear and tear. You may obviously need to pay more. I cant knock it too hard as it is only £30 so you should not expect something spectacular. This only my opinion and experience with the item, do not let my opinions sway you, and do what you think is right.

Don't bother
The headband on this item is so flimsy the earpieces do not stay in your ears, they keep popping out. The band slips forward if you even tilt your head forward slightly. Disappointing.

Can't get Sony MDRWO8 these will do !
As with many others I loved my Sony MDR-WO8, they sounded fantastic stayed firmly in my ears and were a unique design, I got about three years out of them and then one side went down. Although I adored them when I went online to buy a new set the price had jumped to £80 WHAT !!!!! as other reviewers have pointed out Sony had discontinued them WHY WHY WHY 😝There's even a petition online to bring them back . So Sonxtronic basically saw the demand and did their version . There not as robust, the metal strap on the Sony is now plastic and they feel a bit cheaper. On the flip side they sound amazing and they feel great, so if Sony are dumb enough to end this brilliant design and all I can get is Sonxtronics version I'll take it !

Great alternative to the Sony MDRs
Ladies and Gents we have found a decent replacement for the much missed Sony MDRs! Slightly overpriced, but pretty decent sound and excellent if you wear headphones all day as I do.
