This pump is not accurately described with regard to the connections! The supposed 1.5" thread is under size and will not connect to standard UK 1.5" fittings. It is probably Chinese standard 1.5", so whilst it may be possible for the seller to argue that the description is accurate, this item is being sold in the UK and as such the implication is that it will be compatible with UK standard fittings. It will not be possible to connect to standard UK rigid pipework.The second issue is that the supplied hosetail (Hose-tail or Hose tail) is not 1" - 1.5" it is .5" - 1" and again will not connect to 1.5" flexible pipe! Also the 1" hosetail (Hose-tail or Hose tail) is slightly smaller than UK standard which are extremely tight fitting to standard pipe. The supplied Hose tail fits very easily into standard UK pipe! This may not be a problem for most people, who are connecting to flexible pipework, as it does seem to be tight enough to not leak. If however the existing pipework is 1.5" then the hose tail will not fit!The pump itself seems to be well made and robust, for those who intend to install it with (up to) 1" bore flexible pipe I see no reason that it would not be a good pump at the price.However, if the intention is to install or connect to UK standard rigid 1.5" fittings it should be avoided at any price!I have requested a refund currently awaiting a response, I will update this post after receiving the response.

Wow - this little gem is great. I paid more than three times as much for my original pump three years ago. This one beats it hands down.
