These Camera Glasses Have More Negatives Than Positives
The media could not be loaded. First Impressions April 30, 2018: Let me be blunt. These camera glasses are disappointing I own a dozen or so cameras. My walking camera of choice is a Wolfcom body camera (law enforcement variety). The problem with the body cam is that there is no good place to attach it - especially in the summer wearing a t-shirt and shorts. I researched camera glasses as the alternative to the body cam and purchased the iVue Rincon. The glasses are large, heavy (compared with typical glasses), and awkward. The rims are so big that they block a lot of my vision. Frankly, I feel like a clown walking down the street with these on.The buttons are a complete mess. Using little rubber buttons that you must press hard in order to depress an underlying button is not the way to go. They should have a slider that you can simply press back for on and forward for off. That method would be very simple and easy to either engage or disengage the video. They should also have a slider for the wi-fi. Then there can be mode buttons for various settings. The way this is designed is just awful. Half the time you cannot tell if it's on standby or video, so you have to take the glasses off and look at the small led lights to see if they are steady or flashing. Those lights do not display well in sunlight. The wi-fi app feature is a total fail. Once you download the app, you will likely need to "unlock" the wi-fi with the code they give in the instruction manual. Then it will connect with the glasses . . . supposedly. Once I engage the app and put the glasses in wi-fi mode (flashing orange lights), then it connects and if you have video recording on the glasses, it will show up on the app as well. However, nothing else works. If I press on "settings" for example, there is an error message that appears that there is a "Connect Failure. Please check your network connection." (See attached photo) Well, the network is working fine and the actual video is displaying on the app itself so it's obviously connected. But there is no way to do anything with it because nothing else works. The audio is not good. The way the microphones are set picks up any wind noise at all. Even a mild 10 mph wind sounds like a tornado on the video and drowns out every other sound. So, unless it's a totally calm day, the audio on this camera is worthless. See the video clip for an example of a slightly breezy (10mph) walk. To counter the wind noise, I made a "pop filter" cover for the microphone holes. It cuts down on wind noise, but also isn't nearly as sensitive to other sounds either. Not a great solution. And using the filter on the mictrophones also covers the LED lights so you have to pull the filter to the side to see them. The video quality is good whether it's set to 1080 or 720. I have not adjusted the setting and just used the default video settings. That seems fine. I timed the battery drain by fully charging and then recording video until the low-battery auto shut-off. The elapsed time was 81 minute. So, it appears you can get around 1 hour 20 minutes on a charge.I paid about the same price ($200) for my Wolfcom body cam and that is a better quality system with much better software. I would have liked the convenience of simply wearing a pair of glasses, but with the problems and disadvantages of this, it is likely something I will end up returning before the return window closes. I will continue to evaluate for another few weeks and update this review with further impressions. At this point, I do not recommend this product.

Your search for the best sunglasses camera on Amazon ends here (keep reading)
Sure there are others on Amazon that seems to be almost the same as this one.I've checked every single model before purchasing this one. I went through all the specs what were the ups and downs for each model.Nothing can compare with this one.First off, the wifi connectivity. No more editing TXT files to set date time and other settings of the camera. Just pair your phone with the iVUE SSID and modify those settings via your phone. Sync date and time? Press one button and sunglasses will pull the right time and date from your phone. That alone is priceless. Same as if you want to switch from full HD @ 1080p to 720p, so it via the app.Sony CMOS sensor works great and quality is, if not unbeatable, VERY hard to beat.Camera can be titled a bit to best fit with your way of wearing the sunglasses. Again the phone app will help a lot giving you a LIVE FEEDBACK of what the camera is pointing at.Start and stop video recording and/or take a screenshot also via phone app. Yes keeping wifi on will sure drain your battery faster (still you have about 45 minutes of run time) but camera works WHILE charging so you can probably put a battery pack on your pocket and connect it to the iVUE at which point the sunglasses will record as long as there's space on the SD card.Recording are transferred via wifi from SD card to your phone so you can post it on Facebook or other social media.True, if the app would let you stream live to FB that would be a major upgrade but keep in mind all these operations "cost" in terms of battery and heat. Sunglasses do not feel hot even after prolonged recording (I've tested about 40 minutes of recording so far). You may want to trust me saying this is the best device you can buy, or you can do what I did and waste days comparing each single model on Amazon. Your call :)Actually there is one that is better and DOES let you post live on facebook. but it cost almost 4 times more and doesn't have all the functions that iVUE has.CONSOnly one.The rubber/plastic covering the opening for SD card USB port etc seems very "fragile" so be extra careful when opening it. That's a common "cons" for all these cameras btw, not just this one.2 thumbs up in my opinion. Thanks for reading
