Fitted these to a Takamine acoustic to replace the original machineheads on which the pearloid buttons had started to slip. These fitted the original screw holes without modification and work fine - guitar tunes up easily and stays in tune. Good quality item, reasonably priced.

Very good quality. As per my photos I fitted these on my Yamaha Acoustic and they were similar to the originals. The string posts did rattle in their mechanism but once the guitar was restrung this went away. As for staying in tune ... they seem to cope but I won't know for definite until the new strings are fully stretched and bedded in. 👍

I needed a replacement tuner for my Tanglewood TW28 acoustic guitar. The local Tanglewood dealer didn't think they would be able to get a replacement tuner for a guitar of this age from Tanglewood so I needed an alternative. The best replacement looked like the Gotoh SG301-01 but they are quite pricy for a budget guitar. These looked very similar and for £12.46 I thought it was worth the gamble.Compared to the originals the posts are about 2mm shorter, the buttons are a slightly different shape, the finish is slightly rougher and there is more side-to-side play on the post. Headstock thickness on the Tanglewood is 17mm so it just works despite the shorter post. It dropped in using the same holes as the original, no problem at all.Note: These are described as "Big Button Chrome" as opposed to the more expensive "Epi Big Button Chrome" which appears to have identical pictures.

Great alternative for Godin original machine heads

I can't fault these tuners, for the price paid, they are excellent.I'm a pro guitar tech and was instructed by one of my clients to source them a secondhand electro acoustic for live performances and was on a tight budget, managed to score a nice Yamaha electro in need of some TLC and tuners. These did the trick and seem to be holding out very well with the added bonus of a straight fit without any amendments to the guitar whatsoever, all in all a smooth set for a quarter of the price of what I intentionally was going to purchase. Would happily buy another set, also, a very prompt delivery, arrived a couple of days before the expected date at the height of the Christmas postal rush.

Ok, so you needed to replace Grover style tuners but didn’t want to fork out £100. So you went for the “Chibson” option.I myself only needed to replace 1 individual tuning head , but of course these things only come in sets of 6 .These particular ones are not bad.They are shiny, they work ok, the shafts are about 1-2 mm shorter than expected but that’s not an issue in my case. They also seem a little loose and rattle a bit , but once fitted seem ok and hold tuning, although this may affect their longevity. .One word of caution.These arrive in a cardboard backed molded plastic package. The main bodies are easily accessible through the rear by removing the cardboard.However ..The Sleeves and Screws are sealed inside a small separate plastic bag that seems to be stuck to the main plastic housing . When trying to detach it, the bag burst open and the contents went everywhere. I would advise leaving the bag in place and open carefully using a knife or scissors. Not tearing it open like a bag of crisps 😉Great value for the price, they probably won’t last for ever, and maybe I got lucky with a working set ( going by other reviews, ) but don’t forget you get what you pay for.

Not bad quality but better options available at little extra cost - and you can pay less for the same quality elsewhere. Best used as single unit replacements of similar layout/colour.

I was a bit dubious that a product at this price would really be up to scratch, but I was pleasantly surprised when the tuning pegs were delivered - not only do they look really good but they were a perfect fit for my Epiphone SG - not too tight, not too loose. Very impressed.
