Alexander Morgan AM702 Classic Garden Rattan Sofa Set - Brown

Firstly, I could not find a similar set ANYWHERE for this price. The closest was a set on a limited offer at a local DIY outlet for £50 more.More commonly similar sets were being advertised for around £100 more.Delivery was within 2 days and I was sent a text message to inform me of the hour delivery slot (with an option to change if I wasn't available).The delivery was bang on time.The assembly was fiddly, but no more so than other flat packed furniture that I've dealt with.I'm no handyman, although I do know my way around a hammer and drill and I do complete DIY tasks at home.Yes, there were some holes that didn't align perfectly, but after some wrestling and swearing everything fitted together.The instructions are minimal, but adequate (one side of A4). The biggest mistake that I was making was to over-tighten screws before I had all the panels in place. That made lining up holes extremely difficult, but this was remedied by loosening off some bolts until all of them were in place (and then re-tightening). Mind you, it does say this in the instructions.All the bolts come vacuum packed on a piece of card, along with an allan key and a mini rachet.I didn't need any other tools.Size wise, the set will comfortably seat 4 average sized adults.I'm really happy with the set and for the money paid I can't fault the quality.If you're looking for a luxury set of garden furniture then, quite simply, don't expect to be able to buy it at a bargain basement price.I'm really happy with the quality and the set, in general.It looks great and sits well on my decking.I can only think that those who have had really negative experiences were unlucky.I can't vouch for the customer services as I've had no need to contact them.I thoroughly recommend this set to others.

This is the second set of this furniture that i have purchased, as I was so pleased with the first set last year, and it's great value for money. We have it in the dark brown colour and it looks stylish and smart in garden. A little fiddly to put together but nothing that was a major issue and the first set went together like a dream. I went for the smaller table to match , but got sent the larger one and i am delighted with it as the glass is much more securely fixed on this version. All in all a great buy and .

The finished product looks good. Although I consider myself very used to putting together flat pack furniture, this was particularly tricky. I'm not sure if it's because each product differs slightly but I found it very difficult to line up the screws with the holes, and I know the reviews have differed on here, this might be why. I also wanted to mention that I'd asked if seller could arrange the delivery to be placed through my side gate. However, it got delivered to my neighbour who fortunately I get on with very well but it could have been a different scenario.

Its an ok Garden set. For the price and the delivery I may be being a bit harsh with the stars but what has let this down is firstly one of the chairs was broken already when we unpacked. It was minor but the staples that hold the weave in place to the frame had pulled out. You could clearly see at constrauction it had been problematic by the amoount of staples that had been used in that area. As seems to be the case these days its more hassle than its worth to return the whole thing so I had to repir it myself.Secondly the building of it (it comes flat packed). The holes do not all align and you must put it together loosly first so that you get some flexibility. The last chair I had an arm, foot and leg applying pressure in different direction to get an alignment that allowed me to get everything built.Once together it is working well. I will be runing over it with the allen keys after a few months to make sure everyting is secure

After initial disappointment (see below) I am pleased to say that the supplier resolved the issue by sending out a new sofa. Excellent customer service. Original posting was a 1 star reviewArrived in a dusty old box partially wrapped in cling film where box had been opened. So far I have only managed to assemble one of the chairs which looks good and feels good to sit in. Other chair has a sheared bolt in it preventing assembly. Sofa chair, I have not been able to assemble as the bolt holes do not line up, there are at least 50mm out of alignment. Table assembly went ok, but my Mrs cut her long on the corner, sharp piece of rattan. A project for me to drill and assemble when time permits. One of the supplied cushions has dirty marks on it. Not the bargain I had hoped for. Would have been a five star review otherwise.

Nightmare to put together. Took my Husband 9 hours in total as he had to re-screw the bolts which would not go in. Took a lot of patience & quite a few not so good words. If he had not had the tools to do the job or have the knowledge of re screwing bolts then I don't know what we would have done. I certainly would not been able to. Having said that, It looks and feels very comfortable & a good price

Disapointed Box was damaged in transit. It is very straight forward toPut together, simply take your time and as others have said do not tighten screws until fully complete. Perfect size. Sadly a thread on the 2 person sofa back was broken and on one chair the plastic rattan wrap had come away. Disapointing as is a excellent product for the price and next day delivery was a bonus..Update...had superb customer services and everything is now sorted. Excellent service, a must buy!

Be afraid, be very afraid ! :-O It looks good but it's a crap design with crap fittings a flat-packers nightmare screw head's de threaded just trying to put it together and so cannot be re adjusted or even get screwed in properly the first time ! Hole's don't meet up no matter how you assemble it so at least three screws are missing from each chair !But saying all of that they are great for seasonal disposable garden furniture ! :-)I'm just hoping that the manufacture reads this and sends me an assembled set or a cash back bribe to praise it up as trying to send it back will be a mission just for them to say that i have tried to assemble it wrong ! :-)
