It is hard not to love the Laduree books. They are immaculately produced - bound in a soft suede-like material, gilt edges to the paper, nestling in tissue paper and stored in a sturdy (and equally attractive) box.They are clearly wonderful gifts.But do the contents match the presentation?Absolutely.The recipes are precise and elegant (as you would expect from this company) and the food photography especially enticing.Yes, you will want to write out the recipes so that your beautiful book doesn't come into contact with any kitchen mess - but I would stress that this is more than a thing of beauty. It is a proper book of delicate and tasty savoury treats.I am very happy to have it (and the sweet version) in my collection.

A fabulous book - from my point of view a definite must for any serious cookery book collector. Beautifully bound and illustrated. A book to read with your cup of coffee while you decide on which recipe to make. Make sure you understand French though!
