VANDORENJava Tenor Saxophone Reeds - Box of 5 - Strength 2

I've always used Vandoren reeds but this is the first time I have used these ones. I use a no.2 and have found it to be nice and responsive with a good tone. Reeds are very personal things and what suits some and mouthpieces may not suit others but I would definitely recommend giving these a go. I have a Trevor James bronze SR tenor with an Otto Link 4* mouthpiece.

These reeds are a great all-round workhorse. They sound good, last a decent amount of time and have good consistency. They are expensive but completely worth the money.

Outstanding reeds for my combination of mouthpiece and ligature. Ebonite Meyer 6m mouthpiece and Rovner Platinum ligature. Beautiful tone, low range and altissimo. Easy blowing. Brilliant!!!!!!!

Never ordered these before. Very good quality and once worn in they produce a lovely tone - which is all you really want.

Sax reeds

I was recommended to buy these reeds by a great sax player I recently bought my vintage Conn tenor sax from, and he was right, they are superior quality and great to play with.

I play in both concert and jazz big bands and use these reeds for both. They are consistently good out of the box, have a nice balanced tone and last a long time.

Pour le jazz

These reeds are by far the best you can get for tenor for the price. Smooth sound and all individually packaged and sealed so there is no damage in the package before you get to play. Worth it and will buy again and again.

Die Stärkeangaben sind zwischen den Anbietern leider nicht vergleichbar. Tendenziell sollen Vandorenstärken kräftiger ausfallen als etwa bei Rico. Dennoch war dieses zu schwach für mich, wohl eher für Einsteiger geeignet.
