Egg poacher
it did not really cook my eggs either they were hard in the middle or had soft centres and the whites were runny too!

Blew top off
Rubbish. Box says fill with water and microwave for 65 secs. Did that and even with top correctly fastened it blew if off and chucked the egg and water all over. Best result was with no water for less than 60 secs. Might just as well use a bowl and cling film! Would give it no star but minimum seems to be 1!

Saves time cooking, but clean up takes a little longer
I find it cooks eggs really nicely as long as you get to timing right and it can differ to the instructions in seconds. y microwave is a 700w so I cook for 90 seconds. The bonus of this product is the speed of cooking. It is quicker than hob cooking. Ideal for eggs on the go or a snack. I find the resulting eggs are just nice and soft, not bullet hard as long as the timing is right. Get it wrong and the eggs can be bullet hard. The containers are easy to clean as long as you soak the straight away after use. Then when you are ready to wash up clean up is easy.Comparing this product to Eddington's poachers the twist to close is a little tricky on this product as it is easy to not realise you haven't closed the container, whereas the Eddington's is a smooth twist without a click. I have had no issues with the lids popping off, except once when I had not closed the lid properly. That is the downside to this as it is not easy to tell when you are trying to keep the product upright whilst twisting so as not to let the contents leak out. It is a bit stiff to close. I just use about 60ml of water in the bottom. I find this helps the resulting eggs to be softer. There is more clean up with this product than the Eddington's as this has three parts and a lid. The idea behind this zap chef sieve container is to lift the egg out without burning hands, but a spoon does just nicely without any fuss. I give this product a 3 star as it cooks eggs nicely with a bit of practice but lid closing is a little tricky and there is a bit more clean up.
