Fantastic ingredients for acne prone skin.
MAKEPREM INTECA Intensive Soothing CICA Facial Toner PadsThe jar of 70 toner pads arrived in a box that was a little intimidating because most of the text is in Korean. However, one side of the box (including a list of ingredients) and the image of the jar on the front is in English. The jar is all Korean except for the front image. However, that side of the box was enough to make me feel comfortable using these toner pads. I ran the ingredients through INCIDecoder (lots of great ingredients!) and nothing was flagged. I’m using these because CICA is supposed to help acne prone skin without drying it out like salicylic acid and other remedies can. The card inside the box highly recommends doing a patch test first. Always a good idea. The green and white box and plastic jar was wrapped securely in a purple plastic material and the jar was safety sealed. You’ll need to unscrew the lid to detach the seal. The lid screws on tightly and the instructions stressed that you need to keep the lid tightly closed to preserve the toner liquid. I’m keeping the white safety seal in between the lid and the pads as well, which mean I’ll need to unscrew the lid to get a pad. The flip-top lid opens to reveal a small set of clear plastic tweezers that are used to remove one pad at a time. Nice. The tweezers fit back into their spot on the lid (they fall unless you place them so the tweezer tips are right at the part with the three small plastic pieces) until they are needed again. The good sized, unbleached cotton pads have more than enough solution to use as a toner over your face and neck, but the jar isn’t swimming in solution. I was able to slowly go over everything, twice, and they still weren’t dried out. The pads are also a good thickness; they aren’t thin. The CICA toner (this is my first time using it) is cooling and refreshing. I’ve used two pads, with two days in-between use, and my acne prone, combination skin didn’t break out. The toner wasn’t drying, and my skin wasn’t irritated at all.It took a good fifteen minutes for my skin to absorb the toner. My skin felt a little tacky while the solution was being absorbed, but that went away once fully absorbed. My skin felt mildly hydrated. I eventually used a light moisturizer, but I didn’t feel like I needed to apply one right away. I found this toner mildly exfoliating and I liked the way my skin looked (clean, even toned, and smooth) after using it. I haven’t tried this as a “sheet mask” where you leave a pad on an irritated or dry area for 5 to 10 minutes yet. For me these pads will be a nice option for mild exfoliation in winter when my skin is a bit drier.Cruelty-free, vegan, “clean beauty”. The box is printed with soy ink. Good for 12 months after opening (there's even a spot to write in the day you opened the jar if you can write small enough.) Made in Korea.

Has a natural scent, stings a little, note the inaccurate, incomplete ingredient listing.
• Would I get it again or recommend it and why:-For myself and those with very sensitive skin, especially to niacinamide-no.-It did give me some delayed stinging and burning after use. But my skin is very sensitive and reactive.-Do note it has a natural scent While no added fragrances, perfumes, essential or fragrant oils are included-it does have a moderately strong natural scent from the ingredients. It may not be safe for those very sensitive to scents.• Brand, style and version:-Brand: MAKEPREM INTECA-Version: CICA Facial Toner Pads (70 pads)• Size:-70 pre-treated, product-infused pads are included• Quality and Value:-The value is fair, it's nice, but a mid-ranged vs budget or value product.• Container:-It's in an opaque non see-through container to protect the ingredients from light degradation.-It is safety sealed for protection and hygiene.• Formula:-The cotton pads are treated with a tan liquid, that discolors the pads a little from the ingredients.-The cotton pads are large, full-sized and fairly soft but mildy exfolliating in texture.• Scent:-No added perfumes, fragrances, essential oils or fragrant plant extracts.-It does have a moderately strong natural scent from the ingredients.-It may not be safe for those very sensitive to scents.• Application and Use:-There is a mini tong device in the lid to use to remove a pad. It does a good job to help remove the pad.-The pads are large, full sized and fairly soft cotton (a touch exfoliating in texture).-The pads have the right amount of moisture saturation, and are not too dry nor dripping and messy.-Be sure to always close the lid tightly to not dry out the pads.-It felt soothing and nice on the skin. But I did have some delayed irritation.• Sensitive skin:-I would not consider this sensitive skin friendly.-I had issues on my sensitive skin with burning, stinging and mild redness a few minutes after use.-But I had no itching, even though I did have burning and stinging.• Skin Types:-Oily-Normal-Dry-I would not consider this sensitive skin friendly.• Skin issues and concerns it addresses:-Acne-Pores-Anti-aging-Redness-Hyper-pigmentation-Mild moisturizing-Lightly toning• Body Areas:-Face-Neck• Ingredients:Water, Propanediol, Niacinamide, Dipropylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Xylitol, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Candida Bombicola/Glucose/Methyl Rapeseedate Ferment, Butylene Glycol, Gluconolactone, Tromethamine, Carbomer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Adenosine, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Allantoin, Eucommia Ulmoides Bark Extract, Asiaticoside, Madecassic Acid, Asiatic Acid, Ethoxydiglycol• Standout Ingredients:-Niacinamide• Ingredients checked on both Paula Begoun's and Incidecoder's skincare ingredient encyclopedias:-I checked the ingredients listed in both encyclopedias and found no problematic ingredients. There were no common allergens, fragrances, essential oils or irritating alcohols. The ingredients were listed as generally favorable and good for the skin.• Major Ingredients by function:-Anti-acne: Niacinamide-Antioxidant: Eucommia Ulmoides Bark Extract, Asiaticoside-Cell-communicating ingredient: Niacinamide, Adenosine-Exfoliant: Gluconolactone-Skin brightening: Niacinamide-Soothing: Allantoin-Antimicrobial/antibacterial: Candida Bombicola/Glucose/Methyl Rapeseedate Ferment-Emollient: Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil-Moisturizer/humectant: Propanediol, Niacinamide, Xylitol, Butylene Glycol, Ethoxydiglycol• Allergens:-No gluten, wheat or common allergens are listed on the container or ingredients listing.-However, it does contain sunflower seed oil.• Pros:-It's in an opaque non see-through container to protect the ingredients from light degradation.-No common allergens, gluten or wheat listed on the label. It does however, contain sunflower seed oil.-No common irritants such as irritating alcohols, essential oils or irritating plant extracts.-Vegetarian friendly-Not tested on animals, cruelty free.-Fragrance-free with no added perfumes, fragrances, essential oils or fragrant plant oils. However it does have a moderate natural scent.-Dye free-Very good ingredient listing.-Very light moisturizing level.-The container was safety sealed.-A pair of mini tongs are included in the lid to remove the pads.• Cons:-The ingredients were not printed on the container but were on the outer carton. I had to clip them off and attach them to the container with a clear hair elastic.-The value is fair, for amount of pads. It's a nice formula, but it's a mid ranged vs value or budget product.-It does have a moderately strong natural scent from the ingredients. It may not be safe for those very sensitive to scents.-I did get some delayed stinging, burning and redness after use. I ended up having to wash it off my face 15 minutes after using it. I would not consider it sensitive-skin friendly.• Tips and Thoughts:-Niacinamide can cause stinging, burning and redness. Not everyone tolerates it and in what amount, combination and formula will vary. Remember if you are using more than one product (even at a different time of day) with these ingredients it adds up. You may tolerate one but not the combination together. (YouTube dermatologist Dr. Dray has some videos on this that are very good-not affiliated, just a fan.)• Impression:-If you have sensitive skin, are sensitive to niacinamide or scented (natural, not added fragrance) products, this may not be one you'll enjoy or be able to use.-If you have more normal, less sensitive skin, it may be fine for you. The formula is nice, no added fragrances (but it does have a moderate natural scent) or irritating ingredients are added.-You get 70, large, well saturated (but not messy and drippy) pads that work well for mild cleansing and toning-if the formula agrees with your skin.

Soothing Toner
I've had these toner pads for about a month now, and I'm still trying to figure them out. They are very wet, and as such provide the promised hit of hydration--though it doesn't last much longer than the wetness on your face does. They're also supposed to reduce redness, but it's hard for me to judge this as redness isn't too serious a problem for me. The pads are soothing, though, and I have found them to be most helpful when I apply them following a peel or heavy exfoliation or similar treatments. These took almost a month to arrive, by the way, and I believe they were shipped from Korea. They were beautifully packaged, though, so arrived in excellent shape. The maker of the pads clearly respects its own product, and that's always promising. They're nicely packaged for regular use, too, with a lift-up lid rather than a screw-on one, and one that seals in the moisture well. And then there are the cute little plastic tweezers for removing individual pads, to keep things sanitary.

Work great on my sensitive skin
I use these after cleansing in the morning and they have a very refreshing and cooling effect. I have pretty sensitive skin, but haven’t had any negative reactions after using these every day for a month. I just have a slight tingling feeling after application that isn’t unpleasant.I really like that a pair of mini tweezers is included in the pot, which is so much more hygienic than trying to grab the thin pads with your fingers.

Good toner pads
Feels hydrating and nice on my skin, after washing my face I use this before applying other face creams. Good for my sensitive skin and acne breakouts that sometimes happen.
