Superb, brilliant toy. Should last years.
Wow, this is sooo cool! I got it for a great price (on special offer) and it was well worth the money! Its sturdy once you've put it together (my nephew walks on it to get to the other side and he's 2!), there are 3 plastic drawers that slide underneath to fit all the bits in, the train track is well made with a bridge and 'tunnel' and the vehicles are simple but effective. It comes with a train with 3 carriages held together magnetically (each carriage has a coloured 'cargo' that fits on top), a 'plane (which has a short runway), a helicopter (with a wooden landing tower), a crane (with windey string and hook for 'cargo'), a police car, fire engine, and ambulance (all made of wood with wheels which also go on the train track). It also comes with a little wooden boat, and 6 wooden cut people which include a policeman and a mechanic! There are 2 little 'Gas' station fronts (Pfft - I'm English :) ) which come in wooden bits so you can build them up easily (which also means they come apart easily), some wooden trees and bushes, as well as road signs, bollards, traffic lights and barriers which are plastic. The table itself has grass and water and shrubs printed on it. It was hard work to build up the train track, and it doesn't fit exactly to the road (printed on the table), but it's not fixed down anyway so it moves around. This allows for changing of the track so its not a negative thing. All in all its a fantastic toy and should last years as other things/imagination come into play, and it can be as tidy as you want as all the above fit into the trays underneath. Its quite large tho, and you need room around it to get to it all. Brilliant toy.

Great Product Except....
My three children absolutely love this train table by Kidkraft. We generally lean towards their products due to durability and overall high standards. This table keeps my crew entertained throughout the day and is good to have indoors when the weather is not so great. We've owned the table for two weeks and though happy with the product, I am not impressed with the trains or the additional pieces. For one, the trains have all come apart (base and all) while my kids were in the midst of playing. The only pieces that stayed intact were the firetruck, police car, helicopter, and airplane. The additional pieces are cheaply made. The crane is not sturdy and topples off the table often. Just today, the firehouse came apart. Luckily, over the years I have been investing in the Thomas the Tank Engine Trains, which have been a lifesaver. As an added bonus, the Thomas tracks are compatible with the ones that came with the Mountain Train Table. I think overall, you can 't beat the price, which is quite reasonable for the size and quality of this table. Definitely look into investing in higher quality trains if you want to make your train table worthwhile.

Beautiful product, easy to build, hours of fun
We love this! My 2 year old and 7 year old boys are well away with this. There are many different combinations-police, fire, trains, cranes, roads...you name it. The included kit is really good value for money and the drawers are good. Have previously owned a Pin table which was lower quality, more money and rather clunky. This is AWESOME. It was delivered in good time and carefully packaged. The parts feel good quality and there are no triads. The crane is a beauty and the waterfall is brilliant.

Wish I had this when I was a kid
Bought for Xmas for my daughters and can say it was well worth the money. It's nice and big, easy to assemble, comes with lots of pieces and includes 3 red storage boxes to put all your bits in. I did have issue with the plastic bridge missing the crossbar bits (not a biggie) but on trying to get replacements things got lost in translation in Amsterdam and I got sent something entirely different (lol). But honestly, can't really complain, it's fine as is and I love it as much as my kids do!

Great present
We bought this on sale for £120 on Amazon for Christmas present for 2.5 year old boy , it was a huge success. There are lots of different parts to play with and I think it's good value when you look at all the train tracks, accessories and quality of the build. I did look at others that were a little cheaper but really pleased I went with this one. Only point to note is double check the size, it's quite large which makes it great for kids but might be a bit of a squeeze if it's for a small bedroom.

Poor quality.
Really very disappointed with this train table . One piece of the wooden side was completely split. The transfer on the table was already peeling off and the table surface was warped so didn't sit flat . Totally useless . The accessories were cheap looking compared to others I've seen. A very disappointed grandson. Going to try a different make . Annoying I have to go to the inconvenience of returning and securing a refund before I can purchase another . A great shame - it looks nice in the picture .

It’s
My little boy was so excited to recieve his train table only for it to end in disappointment. I opened the box and started to build up the table to find that parts of the toys provided such as tracks and the waterfall tunnel where broken. I noticed the blue plastic on the waterfall tunnel is cracked which is sharp and dangerous for little fingers. The table is okey and would have otherwise provided hours of fun if the toys provided had not been so cheaply made and damaged. At the moment I have the table but not much in the way of playable parts. Quite expensive for a table.

Ok so is this the best train set money can buy? No. It's cheap. Cheap as in value... Not in quality. If you've ever used a kids train set, none of them stay on the tracks. I'm impressed with the amount of things for the kids to play with for the price point. The bins don't easily come in and out ... But who cares.. they are a bonus and don't even need to be included. Thanks for the extra storage bins.. I bet without them you'd buy it anyway. If you want to glue all the track together... Do it.. if you don't... Don't. It's a cheap train set with tons of fun for kids to play with... Go buy a more expensive kit if you want better. I had to glue the waterfall because it snapped but once again... Who cares. The kids don't.

My son loves this table! It took maybe a total of two hours to set it up, that's with my 3yr old trying to "help" and my husband trying to find tools and the correct bits. We were able to set it up without many problems and we were capable of laying the wooden tracks out just like the picture without having extra peices. Some of the wooden tracks were kinda tricky to get into place and they fit tight. The picture of the track was intimidating but once I got going it was self explanatory. So far my son hasn't had issues with the wooden track falling apart during play. On some areas I might add glue so the track is confluent, on the bridges and through the waterfall, because it rises one track sometimes sits higher than the next. Some of our Melissa and Doug cars fit perfectly on the tracks too! Like another reviewer said, if you tighten the plastic track too much when screwing, it will break, which unfortunately we did tighten a few too much. We were missing one piece of the plastic outer track and I called the company and got the piece we were missing and the ones we broke through the mail, no questions asked. It was a fairly easy toy to put together and my son loves it, I think it's great. My husband does work with power tools all day and is good at building things, I looked at the instructions and told him what to do. It worked well for us that way, because he doesn't like instructions.
