The battery appears to be manufactured by the same company that made the OEM item. The original lasted just over 2 1/2 years before swelling was detected. It was immediately pulled from the laptop upon noticing of its condition, even though it still held a decent charge. The new battery will need to be inspected periodically to monitor its condition. I only gave it 4 stars due to the swelling issue. Other than that, it seems to perform as well as the OEM does. Hopefully the swelling issue has been addressed/resolved.

It took me a while to get this battery installed -- many itty-bitty teeny-weeny screws is a potential disaster in the making, but I was very careful, and I had the right tools. It was still a non-trivial challenge. I probably would not recommend this to a tech newbie.The little Phillips screwdriver included in the package is NOT adequate. In order to remove the bottom panel from the Razer Blade 15, you need a tiny torx driver. I also strongly recommend a head-mounted flashlight and a precision pair of tweezers. For keeping track of all the itty-bitty screws of two different types, I used a couple of old pill bottles. Even if your workspace isn't crowded like mine, I would never be able to find a dropped screw that small.The battery was very near zero charge when I installed it, but it's charging nicely, and it's already up to 24% in the time I spent writing this review up to this point. The listing says I need to cycle power on the battery 3-4 times and to start with 5% (not 0%), but the battery arrived with about a 1% charge. Cycling the charge 3 or 4 times is going to be annoyingly time consuming.I'll give this one 4 stars for now. I'm assuming that it will hold a charge after I complete the suggested power cycling. I would have given it 5 stars if the vendor had included the right-size torx driver. I'm nerdy enough to have a wide selection of tools, and I did have the right size torx bit but not everybody is. I would have been even happier if the vendor had done the power cycling before shipping, but I guess at this price point, that's probably too much to ask.Current pricing for this battery is $40.49
