A fantastic chilli growing kit
This was given to me as a present because it's well known that I love my chillis! Initial impressions were good - the presentation box looks great and is very sturdy and I couldn't wait to get started! The kit contains everything you need: a propagator and lid; 20 peat-free compost plugs; plant labels and a pencil; plant feed; instructions and 20 seeds each of Jalapeno, Ring of Fire and Peruvian Purple, (I'm guessing the seed selection might change from time to time as that was on a sticker). The compost plugs are amazingly easy to use - just pop them into the perfectly sized spaces in the propagator, water them, and they swell up immensely ready for the seeds. I initially used 10 of the plugs and planted 2 seeds per plug, (instructions state that you can plant one or two per plug), and I only had 2 that did not germinate which seems like a pretty good success rate. Now, several months on I have 18 very strong and healthy looking chilli plants and I'm sure that I'm going to have more chillis that I know what to do with before too long! I'm watering them with the chilli focus plant food that was supplied, and it really does seem to produce extremely vigorous plants. Each of the individual components, including more compost plugs, can be purchased, (details were inside the kit). This kit is really good value for money in my opinion, and will last me for at least two years. Add to that the fact that it seems to be really good quality and produces fantastic results...a great gift for yourself or any chilli lover! Highly recommended. Edit: Just wanted to update my review a year on. The chilli plants all grew beautifully and supplied us with bags and bags full of chillis. We have loads stored in the freezer still, as well as having supplied friends and family all last year. These proved to be excellent quality plants and we've bought this kit for others as a present based on our experience.

Great, simple kit with instructions
Great service to get the kit. The kit itself is great. Nice and simple instructions. Unfortunately no sign of life still as yet.

Great Kit for beginners.
I've been thinking of growing chillies at home for some time so I thought I'de give this kit a try. As usual from Amazon delivery was very fast and the kit arrived the day after ordering. You get all you need to get you started except for the heat mat which I ordered at the same time. I was a little confused by the contents as there are 20 choir plugs although only eight will fit in the propagator but as there are lots of seeds I guess I can plant another batch next year, four plant labels, three types of seeds, a small propagator, some plant food and a pencil plus growing instructions. Not sure they needed to include the pencil but eight plant labels would have been better and four seed types would work better with eight plugs. Anyway the seeds are planted, I put two seeds in each plug, and I'm looking forward to watching them grow.

Great stuff!
I have bought a SDCF one-pot kit before and that was quite good. This one's even better and apart from a couple every seed has taken. The video is at 5½ weeks after planting, the Demon Red have been somewhat reluctant and they're the two little ones on the right. The picture is at 9 weeks (Guinness bottle for (cough) scale. Demon Red still behind but going strong. It's a great buzz growing your own chilli sauce and I can recommend this kit - almost idiot-proof (I am a congenital idiot). If it works for me anyone can do it 😁

Chilli Growing Kit from The chilli experts at the South Devon Farm.
I like Chillies. It looks like this is a very good kit for growing chillies. South Devon Chilli Farm says they are expert on growing chillies. So I am trying out their chilli growing kit.The seeds have germinated very well. Will see what they (Plants) produce. Bob Naik.

40 days later nothing grew but mold
40 days later... nothing grew. I had high hopes for this kit which I received with 4 sets of seeds: pepperoncini, fresno, serrano and habanero. It was my first venture into growing my own hot peppers. So I bought the book that usually comes recommended with this kit on Amazon, I've done my research and I followed the instructions. I kept a 30 degrees constant temperature by using a warming mat, made sure there is enough moisture daily and 40 days later nothing grew but a bit of mould. I even used some seeds I've taken directly from some fresh peppers and those haven't grown either. I've done everything right, literally by the book, and still no success. I'm sorry to say but I lost my confidence in the company providing such defective kit to beginners likely to be put off by such a bad experience in their first attempt at growing their own chillies.

Easy to grow
This product comes in a starter swaddling Box with starter domes of soil. You don’t have to provide anything! The instructions are easy to follow. Almost all my seeds grew, some faster than others. I managed to replant some into a bigger pot. Unfortunately I won’t get to taste them due to destruction by cat, but I have plenty of seeds to try again next year.
