This stud finder is a great addition to my tool box... it is super easy to use and it can tell where exactly is the stud. Easier than others stud finders

I don't know if they'll hold up as well as the name-brand version but they appear to be durable and are very useful. I keep them both together (they don't stay apart) in my tool belt. I wasn't expecting this benefit, but they help to keep my other bits and tools from falling out of the pouch. You can use them to find hidden sheetrock screws in a wall, which indicates where the wood studs are. This is what I bought them for, but then I used one to retrieve a drill bit extension and holesaw that had fallen into a wall cavity by attaching the silicone holder to a long wire. Then, I was able to use that same wire setup to fish through a complex obstacle course inside the walls to grab the other magnet which was also on a long wire. This allowed me to pull in a small rope to later pull in a larger electrical cable.

Well one of them that I got works.The other one not so much. Seems to be missing a key component. Quality control is lacking.

Handy little magnetic stud finder. Works great at finding studs in the wall, also comes in handy when wanting to gather loose screws in a toolbox, very strong magnet.

This device is small & simple but incredibly accurate. It magnetically locks in on existing nails or screws in the drywall and gives you a perfect hit every time! Dot mark two screws, top and bottom, and then set your line straight up and down. Throw all your other "electronic" stud finders in the garbage where they belong. This is what the pros use (that's how I knew to buy one--I watched my contractor using it as he completed the remodel in my house). Buy 1 for every handy person in your life who ever wanted to hang a picture. Works great for metal studs, too. Excellent Little Device!!!

Much better than battery power stud finders. This actually finds them. Just find screws and follow down stud to remove screws. Awesome.
